Introducing our nominee for Zimbabwe Impact Awards 2025.Wadzanai G. Nyakabau is a dedicated sustainable development practitioner and a youth advocate, dedicated to reshaping the future for young people in Zimbabwe. As the visionary founder of Youth Dreams Zimbabwe, she has empowered over 500 youth through groundbreaking programs that focus on mentorship, essential life skills , digital literacy and entrepreneurship.
Wadzanai champions the rights and welfare of students, drawing on her experience as the Students’ Representative Council President at the Catholic University of Zimbabwe. Currently serving as the National President for the Student Christian Movement of Zimbabwe, she tirelessly advocates for equitable access to education and resources, ensuring that every student has the support they need to thrive.

Her organization, Youth Dreams Zimbabwe, aims to create a holistic environment that empowers, safeguard youth productivity and well being ensuring their full participation in sustainable development. The organization also prepares youth for successful futures by offering comprehensive career guidance and equipping them with the tools necessary to navigate the complexities of the modern job market. Through initiatives like the "Flow with Dignity" program, which provides sanitary wear to underprivileged females, Wadzanai addresses critical issues of gender equality and health, ensuring that young women can pursue their education with dignity.

Her unwavering commitment to social responsibility and transformative leadership inspires a new generation of informed, engaged citizens ready to drive positive change in their communities. Her work is not just a mission, it is a movement, creating ripples of hope and empowerment in Zimbabwe.

As Youth Dreams-Zimbabwe we also participated in the National Youth Empowerment Symposium hosted by the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Development and Vocational Training on October 21st and 22nd. It was a fantastic event. It was heartwarming to see the diverse projects that young people are working on contributing to the nation's economic development.
