We had a fantastic evening at the Alumni Networking Hour with U.S. visiting speaker Bronwyn Morgan, an expert in AI, technology, and drone systems. Alumni from across sectors connected, exchanged ideas, and explored new opportunities for collaboration within Zimbabweโ€™s growing innovation ecosystem.

This engagement supports our shared Freedom 250 vision by strengthening peopleโ€‘toโ€‘people ties and expanding pathways for innovation and economic opportunity.

Thank you to all our alumni who joined us at Old Rock Cafรฉ for an energizing night of conversation and connection.

We came together. We shared. We grew.

The Exchange Alumni Bulawayo Meet-Up was a meaningful reminder of the power of community and connection.

From conversations on personal image and showing up intentionally, to reflections on networks, relationships, and leadership journeys, the room was filled with insight and honest dialogue.

A standout reminder:
โœจ You cannot do life alone โ€” relationships matter.
โœจ Stay teachable โ€” growth requires learning and unlearning.
โœจ Believe in yourself โ€” even when itโ€™s hard, keep going.

Thank you to our incredible speakers and everyone who joined us. The conversations donโ€™t end here, they continue through the community we are building together.

We are proud to share that yesterday, our Board Chairman, Freedom Mukanga was honoured with the International Entrepreneurship Impact Award from the University of Iowa, John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center, marking another significant milestone in a remarkable year of recognition.

The award was received on his behalf by Elizabeth Daly, his mentor and business coach, whom he connected with during his fellowship in Iowa and has remained closely connected with since. The ceremony was attended by nine guests, including a Zimbabwean based in Iowa, making the moment even more special.

Please join us in congratulating him on this well-deserved honour.

Culture can strengthen communitiesโ€”and stability makes the world safer. Through the Mandela Washington Fellowship, leaders like Allington Ndlovu explore the use of cultural heritage to engage youth, reduce conflict, and build community pride and cohesion.

As Director of Amagugu International Heritage Center, Allington's work ranges from preserving San rock art to amplifying youth voices and revitalizing traditional art. His research on Indigenous Knowledge Systems shows how locally driven knowledge can inform global conversations.

U.S. exchange programs build global networks that help reduce global instability and make America safer and stronger.
