Seven outstanding Zimbabweans joined 50 fellow Global UGRAD alumni from across the continent at the Freedom 250 Global UGRAD Alumni Connections Seminar in Nairobi, Kenya.

Over five dynamic days of hands-on workshops, expert panels, and community initiatives, these emerging leaders developed connections that will continue driving positive change in their communities and beyond.

From May 11–15, 2026, seven outstanding Zimbabwean Global UGRAD alumni — Simbarashe Mhaka, Kelvin Bimha, Bathabile Dlamini, Thandeka Munyaka, Joshua Anthony Masundah, Tinashe Madaz Madamombe, and Tanyaradzwa Makotore — joined 50 changemakers from 9 African countries in Nairobi for the highly competitive America250: Global UGRAD Alumni Connections seminar.

Organized by the U.S. Department of State and World Learning, the seminar focused on civic engagement, entrepreneurship, innovation, and cultural diplomacy through collaborative sessions and immersive experiences, including local organisation visits to iHUB Nairobi, Alfajiri Street kids, American Chamber of Commerce, and a cultural visit to the Bomas of Kenya Limited

We extend our sincere gratitude to the facilitators, organizers, and U.S. Embassy Zimbabwe for investing in Africa’s young leaders and creating platforms for meaningful collaboration.

Our alumni return home inspired and ready to turn global insights into local impact across Zimbabwe.
