Welcome Dr. Ramson NYAMUKONDIWA to the ISU team ! 🚀
We are delighted to welcome Dr. Ramson NYAMUKONDIWA, as a new Research Lecturer at the International Space University. Arriving in September 2024, Ramson brings with him solid expertise in the field of space engineering, gained through his experience as a space systems engineer and post-doctoral researcher.
With over 4 years experience in the design, development and operation of space systems, Ramson has contributed to major space missions as a leader in satellite bus and payload design, as well as space system testing, validation and verification. 💼🛰
👉 His core competencies include :
- Space systems design and integration
- Mission planning
- Project management
- Risk analysis
- Systems testing and validation
- Multidisciplinary teamwork
At ISU, Ramson will play a central role in several key missions, including :
- Curriculum planning in collaboration with the Master's programs hashtag hashtag team 🚀
- Teaching space engineering principles and applications in our master's programs, as well as other programs such as executive space courses and space studies programs
- Mentoring students, notably through the supervision of thesis projects and the role of academic advisor 📚
- Contributing to our research activities, particularly on space engineering applications, as well as preparing applications for research funding 🔬
Ramson joins our team with an impressive track record, having led satellite development and collaborated with international teams on satellite constellation projects, such as the BIRDS 5 project, which notably launched the first satellites for Zimbabwe and Uganda. 🌍🚀
He is also an International Astronautical Federation Emerging Space Leader #2022 ! 👏
We are convinced that Ramson's expertise will greatly enrich our Masters program and research activities. His rigorous and collaborative approach, combined with his commitment to innovation in the space sector, makes him a valuable asset to our community. ⭐
