Breaking the Silence, providing sanitary pads and soap

We're proud to announce a collaborative effort by Global Shapers Community Mvurwi Hub, Muka Foundation, and Yomuti Engineering to tackle Period Poverty and promote Menstrual Health Education!

On Saturday 26 October we donated pads and soap to adolescent girls , ensuring dignity and accessibility for countless individuals.

Our mission goes beyond just providing essentials; we're committed to:

Empowering girls and women with knowledge on menstrual health
Breaking stigmas surrounding menstruation
Fostering inclusive communities

Thank you to our partners and volunteers for making this initiative possible!

I'm so elated to announce that the global shapers Mvurwi hub was at Ruoko RwaMwari children's home helping the young women to fight against period poverty .It is sad that menstruation is a natural process ,yet sanitary hygiene products are pegged at a high price,some girls miss school because of their period,some use unhygienic products like cloth which sometimes cause infections like vaginal thrush The race has begun ,with global shapers Mvurwi hub.
