Zimbabwe is facing a growing crisis of drug and substance abuse among young people. Many children, adolescents, and youth are struggling with addiction, violence, trauma, and mental health challenges, yet access to affordable psychosocial support remains limited.

🌍✨ Exciting news from the child justice space!

Together with the Department of Pretrial Diversion and the Department of Social Development, REPSSI Zimbabwe has officially launched the Holistic Outreach for Pretrial Diversion Engagement Project (HOPE) intervention! Moving from a successful national launch to district inception and co-creation meetings across 9 targeted districts, this UNICEF funded project marks a monumental step forward for restorative justice in Zimbabwe.

Alongside exceptional partners, Project HOPE enhances access to quality child protection services. By anchoring support in Trauma Informed Care, rights based practice, and socio ecological models, we are delivering comprehensive MHPSS services that foster positive psychosocial wellbeing outcomes for children in conflict with the law or at risk.

The groundwork is laid, stakeholders are deeply engaged, and with all hands now on deck, we are ready to deliver a highly transformational response package to our communities.
