Tov Nation

Tov Nation We help people break free from addictions so they can live their best lives.

Tov Nation wants to speak plainly about something we observe consistently in the families we work with.

By the time most families reach us, they have been managing the situation alone for far longer than they should have had to. Years, in many cases. They have developed sophisticated coping strategies for a situation that should have had professional support long before it reached the point it reached.

This is not a criticism. It is a reflection of the environment we are all working in. The stigma. The limited awareness of accessible options. The cultural expectation that family matters stay within the family.

But sophisticated coping is not the same as addressing the problem. And the families who have been coping the longest are often the ones who are closest to exhaustion at the point when they finally reach out.

You do not have to wait until you are at that point. The Recovery Blueprint is available now.

A complete summary of The Recovery Blueprint for anyone who is considering whether this programme is right for them or someone they love.

The programme is three months long. Sessions are every Tuesday and Friday morning. There are twenty four sessions in total. It is outpatient. Participants maintain their daily lives throughout.

It is delivered by Brian Mulipah, Founder and Executive Director of Tov Nation, with twenty years of recovery practice experience and certifications in addictions, coaching, and mental health.

The programme serves both men and women. It includes structured guidance for the family throughout. It ends with a transition plan for the period following the programme.

It addresses addiction and self-sabotaging behaviour at the neurological, psychological, identity, relational, and purposive level. It is not group therapy. It is not 12-step. It is a structured, sequenced, professionally delivered recovery programme.

Investment: $360 per month over three months. $1,080 total.

Based at Tov Nation, Three Anchor House, 4th Floor, 54 Jason Moyo Avenue, Harare, Zimbabwe.

Tov Nation's vision is a Zimbabwe where families affected by addiction have access to the structured professional support they need, when they need it, at a price they can access.

We are not there yet. The stigma is still significant. The awareness of available options is still limited. The infrastructure for community-based outpatient recovery support is still developing.

But every family that completes The Recovery Blueprint, every individual who rebuilds their life through the programme, every professional who refers a client and sees the outcome, is part of building that future.

We do this work because we believe in it. And we do it in this country because this is where it is needed.

If you share this vision, the most useful thing you can do is share this post with someone who needs it.

And if you are that someone, send us a message with the word BLUEPRINT.

Tov Nation regularly receives questions about the difference between the recovery work we do and psychiatric treatment. We want to answer that clearly.

Psychiatric treatment addresses diagnosed mental health conditions and typically involves medication management and clinical therapy delivered by a psychiatrist or psychologist.

The Recovery Blueprint addresses addiction and self-sabotaging behaviour through a structured recovery programme delivered by a certified addictions professional. It is not a substitute for psychiatric treatment where that is clinically indicated. In some cases, it complements it.

Brian Mulipah holds certifications as a Certified Addictions Professional, Certified Professional Coach, Certified Professional Recovery Coach, and Mental Health Coach. He works within the scope of these certifications and refers to clinical services where appropriate.

If you are unsure whether The Recovery Blueprint is the right fit for your situation, reach out and describe what is happening. We will give you an honest and professional assessment.

A family came to Tov Nation after their son had been in active addiction for six years. He was thirty-one years old. He had lost two jobs and one long-term relationship in that time.

They were not looking for a miracle. They were looking for a structure. Something they could point to and say: this is the plan. This is what happens next.

He entered The Recovery Blueprint with limited expectations. Month one was about stability. Month two was the hardest period of his recovery and the most important. Month three he began to describe a version of his future that he had not been able to articulate before.

He is employed again. He is rebuilding the relationship with his family. He is not a different person. He is a more honest version of the same person, with tools and a direction.

That is what Tov Nation builds. Not new people. More honest, more equipped versions of the same people.

Tov Nation wants to address a common question we receive: can someone recover without religious support?

The Recovery Blueprint is not a religion-based programme. It is spiritual, evidence-informed and clinically grounded. It does not require a particular religious system to engage with.

At the same time, we respect the role that religion plays in the recovery journeys of many of the individuals we work with. Where faith is part of someone's identity and support system, we work with that, not around it.

The Recovery Blueprint is designed to be relevant and effective for individuals from any background, any belief system, and any cultural context. The neuroscience, the psychology, and the identity work that sit at the core of the programme are universal in their application.

Tov Nation exists because we believe that wellness and recovery should be accessible to Zimbabwean families, not just to those who can travel abroad or afford private residential facilities.

The Recovery Blueprint was built with this belief as its foundation. It is priced to be genuinely accessible. It is outpatient so that it does not require the individual to leave their life. It is delivered by a practitioner who has been working in this community for nearly two decades and understands its specific context.

We are not a foreign model imported without adaptation. We are a Zimbabwean organisation, working in the Zimbabwean context, building programmes for the people and families we have been serving for twenty years.

If you are in Harare and you need structured recovery support, this programme was built for you.

One of the most consistent things we observe at Tov Nation is the cost of silence.

Families in Zimbabwe carry addiction-related pain in silence for an average of three to five years before seeking professional help. Sometimes longer. The reasons are understandable: stigma, the hope that the situation will resolve on its own, the fear of what seeking help will mean for the family's reputation.

But silence has a cost. Every year spent in the silence is a year of compounding health damage, trust deficit, and lost development for the individual. It is a year of sustained grief and exhaustion for the family. And it is a year in which the situation does not stay the same. It grows.

The moment you reach out is the moment the cost stops compounding.

We want to share what participants and families have said about The Recovery Blueprint.

One participant said: I did not believe three months would change anything. I had been in the loop for so long that change felt theoretical. By month three I understood that what I thought was a character flaw was actually a wound I had been carrying for years. That knowledge changed everything.

A family member said: What Tov Nation gave us was a framework. Not just for him. For all of us. We understood what was happening. We knew what to do and what not to do. We stopped being part of the problem without realising it.

These are the outcomes Tov Nation exists to produce. Not just sobriety. Restored relationships. Rebuilt people. Families who have come through something and are stronger for having faced it together.

Tov Nation works with individuals dealing with a range of addiction and self-sabotaging behaviours, not only substance addiction.

Self-sabotaging behaviour includes patterns that consistently undermine a person's health, relationships, career, or wellbeing, even when the person is aware of the pattern and wants to change it. This can include compulsive behaviours, destructive relationship patterns, avoidance, and other forms of self-defeating action that do not always involve substances.

The Recovery Blueprint addresses the underlying psychological and identity conditions that drive both substance addiction and self-sabotaging behaviour. The tools, the sequence, and the framework are applicable across both.

If you are unsure whether the programme is relevant to your situation, reach out and describe what you are experiencing. We will give you an honest assessment.
