HARARE – Homebuyers, property investors and developers will converge in Harare next month for the Zimbabwe Property Expo 2026, where industry experts will share practical insights to help buyers make informed investment decisions amid growing concerns over land disputes and illegal developments.

The Zimbabwe Property Expo 2026, to be held from 19 to 21 August at the Celebration Centre in Harare, will bring together property developers, financial institutions, legal practitioners, architects, surveyors and other industry professionals to help prospective buyers better understand the legal, financial and technical aspects of property ownership.

For many Zimbabweans, purchasing land or building a home is one of the biggest financial commitments they will ever make. Recent disputes over land ownership and developments in prohibited areas have reinforced the importance of verifying ownership, understanding planning regulations and carrying out proper due diligence before investing.

Zimbabwe Property Expo spokesperson Morgan Makamure said the event was designed to bridge the information gap by connecting buyers directly with experts across the property value chain.

“Property investment is about more than putting material together, engaging a builder and getting work done. It is equally about understanding legal processes, planning regulations, due diligence and working with credible professionals,” Makamure said.

The three-day expo will feature exhibitions, seminars and panel discussions covering property verification, financing options, legal compliance, investment trends and development planning, giving prospective homeowners and investors an opportunity to engage directly with experts before making major financial commitments.

The event will also cater for Zimbabweans living abroad, many of whom continue to invest in the local property market. Through both physical and virtual participation, members of the diaspora will be able to engage reputable developers, financial institutions and professional advisers while exploring investment opportunities from trusted sources.

Makamure said access to reliable information had become one of the most valuable assets in today’s property market.

“As Zimbabwe’s property market continues to evolve, the most valuable investment may well be knowledge. By equipping buyers with the information needed to make sound decisions, the Zimbabwe Property Expo is helping to build not only homes and businesses, but greater confidence in Zimbabwe’s property investment landscape,” he said.
