🤝 TRUST IS FOLLOWING UP.

A client recently approached Zimbabwe Diaspora Connect for assistance with inspecting her houses under construction in Dony Brooke.

Since this particular service wasn't within our direct scope, we recommended a contractor who could assist her.

But our responsibility didn't end with the referral.

After the service was arranged, we followed up with our client to find out if she had received the assistance she needed.

🚗🇿🇼 WHEN YOUR CLIENT ABROAD SAYS: “I WANT TOYOTA GENUINE SPARES.”

Today, a client based abroad engaged Zimbabwe Diaspora Connect to purchase spare parts for his father's Toyota vehicle in Mutare, which is currently undergoing repairs.

The instruction was very clear:

“We want Toyota Genuine Spares.” ✅

So we went to Blackfield Toyota Genuine Retail Shop and sourced the required parts.

The spares are now packed and ready for transportation to Mutare, where they will be received for the vehicle repairs. 📦🚗

For our client, it means they don't have to worry about finding the right supplier, travelling around Harare, or wondering whether the parts being purchased are what they requested.

They trusted us to handle it — and that's exactly what we did.

Bridging the Distance: The Heart Behind Zimbabwe Diaspora Connect 🇿🇼

Distance changes many things, but it should never change the connection we have with home.

For many Zimbabweans living abroad, home is more than a place. It is parents waiting in the rural home, a house being built brick by brick, a property that needs attention, a family member who needs assistance, or a simple errand that needs someone trustworthy to handle.

Sometimes, being thousands of kilometres away creates a difficult feeling — you want to be there, but you simply can't.

Zimbabwe Diaspora Connect extends our deepest condolences to the families, friends and communities affected by the tragic Kariba ferry disaster.

To everyone who has lost a loved one, we pray that you find strength, comfort and courage during this incredibly difficult time.

Our thoughts are also with those who were injured, those still awaiting news of their loved ones, and the teams involved in the search, rescue and recovery efforts.

🥑🍌 THE BENEFITS OF GOING KUMUSHA 😂

As part of my own Family Support Check Plan this Heroes and Defence Forces holiday, I visited Mum in Chiware, Rusape. ❤️

I fed the chickens 🐔, spent time with family, and eventually it was time to head back.

But you know how it is when you visit kumusha… you don't leave empty-handed! 😂😂

Mum packed me avocados and bananas for the journey. 🥑🍌❤️

For those of us living away from home, these little moments mean a lot.

Sometimes family support isn't about sending money. Sometimes it's simply being present, checking in, spending time together and knowing your loved ones are okay.

😂 FAMILY SUPPORT CHECK PLAN — HOMESTYLE EDITION! 🐔🥑🍌

This Heroes and Defence Forces holiday, I travelled to Chiware, Rusape to check on my mother and spend some time at home.

Of course, a visit to kumusha isn't complete without getting your hands dirty! 😂

🐔 I helped feed the chickens.
❤️ Spent time with Mum.
🌿 Enjoyed the peace and simplicity of kumusha life.
🥑 And when it was time to leave, they packed me some avocados and bananas for the journey! 😂😂

This reminded me of something important:

Family support isn't always about money. Sometimes it's about presence.

As part of our Family Support Check Plan, I decided to conduct a welfare visit of my own. 😅

This Heroes and Defence Forces holiday, I travelled to Rusape, Chiware, to check on my mother and spend some time with her kumusha. ❤️🇿🇼

Sometimes being away from home means you miss the simple things—checking on your parents, sitting together, sharing a meal and simply knowing that everything is okay.
