We are grateful to share that our recent outreach to Mutimurefu Female Prison in Masvingo was a resounding success.

Led by our National Coordinator, Miss V. Chapereka, together with Masvingo Provincial Coordinator, Mrs. P. Chibode-Shangwa, the delegation delivered a truly impactful program.

Our keynote speaker, Ms. Joyce Shiri of JS Happening (an image, etiquette, and lifestyle consultant), inspired the women with her powerful presentation. We were also honored to have a peer mentor, social workers, and a human rights advocate who shared words of encouragement and empowerment.

It was indeed a day of restoration and hope. Each of the 46 inmates received a small goodie bag with toiletries and other essentials, while the 4 children present were gifted their own packs filled with toys and practical items. 💙

We can’t wait for our next outreach trip, which is coming very soon! In the meantime, we extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who donated, shared our flyer, or participated in any way to make this day possible.

We’re proud to have joined ZPCS and the Another Chance team on their journey to Chiendambuya—represented by our National Coordinator, Miss V. Chapereka—where we helped deliver a replacement heifer to Munyaradzi Muranda’s family.

On July 12th, the team traveled over 200 km from Harare to Chiendambuya, escorting the heifer kindly provided by Apostle Newton Chigudu. We witnessed Munyaradzi, temporarily released, kneel before his parents as he received forgiveness and a fresh start.

This experience was truly eye-opening: it showed us that every community member can help mend broken bridges—whether by offering practical support to ex-offenders, standing in solidarity with families, or simply choosing compassion over judgment.

On May 10th 2025, representatives from PRACT’s Executive Committee —including our National Coordinator, National Programs Coordinator, Midlands Provincial Coordinator, Harare Provincial Coordinator—and a dedicated volunteer visited Shurugwi Female Prison, where at the time 51 women and 5 children were housed. Together, we delivered:

Blankets
Buckets
Green bar soap
Sanitary wear
Woolen hats & socks
Baby clothes & diapers
Vaseline
Baby toys

Through heartfelt conversations with the inmates and prison staff, we were reminded that “They Are Still Part of Us” and that rehabilitation is a collective responsibility. Your generosity truly brightened their winter and brought hope to these women and children.

A huge thank‑you to our partners, board members, donors, volunteers, executive committee members—and everyone who sourced donations and spread the word. We couldn’t have done it without you!

We look forward to making next year’s Winter Drive even bigger and better!

Today, our Executive Committee, together with volunteers, successfully visited inmates at Harare Central Prison.
We hosted 61 inmates in total, including a blessed choir, which led praise and worship that shook the heavens.

Our National Coordinator, Pastor Watsunga Makoni, gave a background of PRACT Zimbabwe. Lennon Mukwekwerere, one of our volunteers, ministered in Word, and 10 souls were harvested for the Kingdom to the glory of God. Chaplin Daphine Katsvara, our Child Sponsorship Officer, led them through the Believer's Prayer.

Officers, social workers, and inmates were appreciative, as we shared the history of one of our founders, his journey, and the wondrous things God is doing in his life now. We lifted the hope of people, and we give God glory for a successful program.

Bella Mubika, the Harare Provincial Coordinator, conducted the cake cutting as we celebrated the release of our founder, we broke bread together with inmates, had some eats, and had time to interact with them.

We are thankful to the board, our partners, executive committee members, and volunteers for making this day possible.

On Saturday the 1st of March 2025, our Executive Members, together with a number of volunteers, thanks to our partners, shall spend quality time with up to 50 inmates at Harare Central Prison as we pay tribute to the release of one of our founders. This event is programed to give hope, as there shall be a church service.
