On Saturday 21 June 2025, Club President Lion Tinashe and Incoming President Lion Emily attended the St Dominics Chishawasha Leo Club Career Day. Our very own Lion Joseph (Incoming Club Secretary) and Lion Mimi from Harare West Executives shared valuable insights, inspiring and guiding the future leaders.

Investing in youth development is crucial. We are proud to mentor and support the next generation!

On Friday 20 June 2025, Harare The Phoenix Lions Club President and Leo Advisor, Lion Tinashe Chihwayi, alongside Area Leader Lion Jona Machaya and Lion Joseph Musariri, attended the handover ceremony of a newly constructed classroom block at Bromley Primary School.

This incredible project was undertaken by Watershed Alpha Leo Club, proudly sponsored by Harare the Phoenix Lions Club. The Leos demonstrated their commitment to education and community development, using their own resources and fundraising initiatives to make it happen. Special mention to the Watershed Patrons who were assisting and guiding the Leos💪

This legacy will stand tall long after we are gone, empowering future generations!

We are thrilled to announce the completion of the Parirenyatwa Oncology ward kitchen renovation! This milestone was made possible by the collective efforts of Zone 1C Clubs, generous individuals, and organizations.

Special thanks to:

Harare the Phoenix for identifying the need. Harare The Sovereigns, Harare Flame Lily, Greater Harare, Cresta Hotels Lions, Abingdon Lions UK, and Leos who supported this initiative. The late Lions Nobby & Elsie Clarke, friends of the Phoenix, for their generous donation.

We are grateful for the high teas, music concerts, and personal donations that fueled this project.

As we celebrate this achievement, we acknowledge there is still more to be done. We look forward to forging new partnerships and continuing our mandate to serve and making a difference.

On Sunday 8 December 2024, Harare The Phoenix in partnership with Caring Crafters and supported by Harare The Sovereigns Lions Club, Legacy Leo-Lions Club, Harare The Phoenix Omegas Leos, UZ Omegas Leo Club and Churchill Boys High, hosted a Christmas Lunch at Melfort Old People’s Home.

23 residents including carers were adopted and each received a box containing new clothes and shoes as well as toiletries, snacks and knitted Christmas hats. Thereafter we enjoyed a 2 course lunch prepared by Chef Edwin and his team. After dessert everyone got a cracker and it was fun to relive the old days.

We also managed to donate bottled water, toiletries, sugar, latex gloves, masks and urine bags.

It was an afternoon well spent which was wholesome and everyone enjoyed.

Special thanks to everyone that donated and participated to make this activity a success.
