Yesterday was a very big day for us as Tivake Organisation.
We successfully launched The Empowered Girls' Handbook, a remarkable and purpose-driven event held under the theme "Empowering the Girl Child for Leadership and Success."

The Guest of Honour, Hon. Sheillah Chikomo, was represented by Ms. Thelma Jirira. She delivered a strong message highlighting the plight of marginalized girls and reinforced that enough is enough; girls deserve equal opportunities and must not be left behind.

The keynote speaker, Ambassador Rudo Chitiga, delivered a compelling keynote address focused on breaking societal limitations and promoting girls’ empowerment across all sectors.

The key message of the event was a call to dismantle stereotypes, end gender-based violence, and ensure that every girl, no matter where she comes from, has the chance to lead and succeed.

The launch showcased inspiring authors, powerful performances, and rich discussions, all united in building a better future for the girl child.

More often, girls are surrounded by stereotypes, “You can’t do this,” “It’s a man’s job,” “You can’t lead.” It’s heartbreaking that many girls are held back from achieving their dreams because of limiting beliefs from families, communities and society at large.
Today, we are proud to celebrate Coach Sandra Mazorodze, who wrote a powerful chapter on “Girls’ Leadership: Empowering Girls to Redefine Norms.” In her chapter, she explores how girls can challenge and break stereotypes, step into leadership with confidence, and boldly create their own paths. 💫

Today we celebrate Debra Sitete-Rushwaya and Dr Nyaradzo Shumba 💐
Debra is an educational psychologist and Dr Shumba is a gender and child rights expert. Together, they contributed a powerful chapter on mental health and well-being for girls in The Empowered Girls’ Handbook.

In their chapter, they highlight the critical importance of addressing mental health in young girls, reminding us that emotional well-being is just as important as physical health. Their work is a reminder that when we protect girls’ minds and hearts, we open doors for their dreams, confidence, and leadership.
