HYGIENE HAMPER DRIVE 2026
Small acts. Big impact. Together, we can restore dignity, promote healthy living and empower girls and women in our communities.Chiedza Chenyika Organisation (CCO) is calling on well-wishers, individuals, companies, churches and partners to support our Hygiene Hamper Drive.

🎯 Our goal: Support 90 girls at Ruvheneko Secondary School, Ruwa
📅 Date: 22 October 2026
🕐 Time: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
📍 Venue: Ruvheneko Secondary School, Ruwa
Each hygiene hamper will provide essential personal-care items including sanitary wear, bathing soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, roll-on deodorant, laundry soap, Vaseline, toilet tissue and a face towel.
You can make a difference by:

A CALL TO SPONSORS & FORMER CCO BENEFICIARIES: LET’S PAY IT FORWARD

A child’s education should never end simply because their family cannot afford school fees.

We are reaching out to potential sponsors, well-wishers, and former Chiedza Chenyika Organisation (CCO) beneficiaries who may be able to help keep a few children in school.

Some of the young people who have benefited from CCO’s support are now transitioning to Form 1 and urgently need assistance with school fees.

These are children who have been under our care and we are committed to seeing them continue their education through secondary school. However, due to limited financial resources, our capacity to support them has significantly reduced over the years.

There was a time when CCO was able to support some beneficiaries from primary school all the way through tertiary education. Today, we are struggling to meet even some of the most basic educational needs.

To our former CCO beneficiaries, this is especially for you.

Many of you know what it means to receive educational support when your circumstances could have forced you to drop out. CCO stood with you. Someone believed in you. Someone gave you an opportunity.

Today, you have an opportunity to do the same for another child. You do not need to make a huge contribution. Every contribution, big or small, can help keep a child in school and protect their future.

This is what paying it forward means:

Someone helped you when you needed it. Now you can be that someone for another child.

If you are willing to sponsor a pupil or contribute towards school fees, please send us a private message. We will privately share the relevant details with interested sponsors.

For the protection and privacy of the children, we will not publicly share their names or school details without prior consent.

Let’s continue the cycle of giving.

Chiedza Chenyika Organisation extends its deepest condolences to the families, friends and the entire Kariba community following this tragic incident.

Our hearts are heavy with grief. To everyone who has lost a loved one, those who are injured and all those affected you are not alone. We stand with you in this difficult time.

May God comfort the bereaved, strengthen the affected families and bring healing and peace to the people of Kariba.

BENEFICIARY TESTIMONIAL | FROM COOPERATIVE TO TUCKSHOP

This is another inspiring story from one of our beneficiaries, who has turned the profits generated through her cooperative into a new business opportunity.

Through the support provided by Chiedza Chenyika Organisation (CCO) under the Ketaaketi Model, the cooperative was able to access funding and establish a sustainable income-generating project.

Through her participation in the cooperative and the profits she earned, she was able to invest in herself and open her own tuckshop, creating an additional source of income for her family.

Her journey demonstrates the power of women’s economic empowerment when women are given access to capital, skills, and opportunities, they can build sustainable businesses and create a better future for their families.

At CCO, we believe that empowerment is not simply about providing support; it is about creating opportunities that enable women to become self-reliant, financially empowered, and capable of growing their own livelihoods.

MONITORING & EVALUATION VISIT – MELFORT COMMUNITY

Today, the Chiedza Chenyika Organisation (CCO) team visited the Melfort community as part of our ongoing Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) activities.

The visit focused on assessing the progress of community projects, engaging with beneficiaries, identifying challenges and understanding the impact of the initiatives on livelihoods and women’s economic empowerment.

Through regular monitoring, we are able to track progress, strengthen accountability, provide the necessary support and ensure that our programmes continue to create meaningful and sustainable change within communities.

We appreciate the commitment and participation of the Melfort community members and look forward to building on the progress made.
