The host and main speaker of our webinar is our CEO, Lois Chingandu
She is an award-winning NGO expert with over 25 years of leadership experience in civil society at national, regional, and global levels. Through her work across Africa, she witnessed the powerful impact NGOs can have in transforming communities. However, she also observed a growing challenge: many NGOs were spending more time chasing donor funding and managing short-term projects instead of focusing on long-term community priorities and building sustainable institutions.
She concluded that the problem was not just funding, but the traditional donor-dependent NGO model, which was becoming increasingly fragile in a changing global environment. This realization led her to rethink how NGOs should operate in the future, and ultimately led to her founding and becoming CEO of Threshold Academy, an initiative aimed at helping African NGOs redesign themselves to become sustainable, resilient, and future-focused organizations.
Join Lois on the 1st of April together with Nyasha Gwatidzo and Jillian Reilly as they unpack the strategies and realities of how NGOs can embark on a social enterprise journey in order to be self sustainable.
