“I had never been to a science fair,” a general sentiment that was shared among all of our girls.
For some, it was also their very first time visiting the capital city, Harare, where the Africa Science Buskers Festival 2025 was held.
This was more than just a trip into the capital, it was a moment of realization, a moment of appreciation, of what lay beyond the familiar walls of Gweru, our home.
Being among thousands of students, all passionate about science and driven to change a broken world, was both inspiring and eye-opening. Our girls stepped into the Celebration Centre in Harare with wide eyes and eager hearts, curious to see what others were building, thinking and dreaming about. After a powerful briefing on how even marginalized communities can access opportunities, they were ready, not just to observe, but to dream bolder, to think deeper, and to take one more step toward designing their own solutions for the world. This wasn’t just an event. It was a spark. A spark that lit up courage, curiosity, and confidence.
The science festival was an enlightening moment, a reminder of what’s possible when girls are given the platform to thrive.
And we are not stopping here. We will continue to empower these girls, provide the skills they need, and remain that safe haven where they can be themselves, unapologetically, fiercely, and freely.
Because they were born to lead.
Born to be unstoppable.
Born to be UNBOUNDED.

We had the honor of hosting Mary Eileen Wood, who shared her inspiring journey with science fairs and her dream to bring science to students all over the world. Her message was clear: every big dream begins with small steps, courage, and consistency.

Mrs. Wood also donated books that opened our eyes to new ideas in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Math). The girls walked away feeling inspired, motivated, and unstoppable!

To make the day even more special, Thomas presented his own science fair project. Seeing someone their age confidently share such a creative idea reminded the girls that they, too, can do incredible things.

A big thank you to the Matinunura Administration for hosting this event and to the UNBOUNDED team for making it happen.

This is only the beginning the journey continues! 🚀

We’re empowering girls in three key areas which are 🔍, Social Entrepreneurship 💡, and Tech (specifially coding) 💻.

Together, we’re building confidence, leadership, and endless opportunities for girls to shine! 🌟
