Aims and objectives of the organisation
Queen of Peace Rehabilitation and Crises Centre objectives are in line with the Private Voluntary Organisation Act. The objectives are:
• To provide structured rehabilitation programs and reintegrate back to society people with mental challenges thus enabling them to be self reliant
• To provide psychosocial support to stigmatized group including vulnerable
children
• To advocate for the rights and meaningful involvement for people with mental problems
• To collaborate with relevant stakeholders regarding the welfare, education, training and subsequent employment of such persons upon requite skills
Queen of Peace Rehabilitation and Crises Centre is an organisation that has ventured into an area that has very few and relevant players who are meaningfully contributing to the general welfare of people living with mental challenges. The Organisation also seeks to bridge the gap in child welfare programming by adding the component of psychosocial support to vulnerable children as well. The Organisation is bringing a new dimension of programming that is relevant and meaningful to the people Gweru District and Midlands Province at large and the nation at large.
