Good day, everyone!

We are the Zimbabwe Youth Innovative and Creative Alliance (ZYICA). As part of our ongoing efforts with the Youth Against Drug Abuse (YADA) initiative, we are excited to announce a special opportunity in collaboration with one of our valued stakeholders, Restoring African Dignity (RAD).

RAD has generously offered to sponsor the school fees for the upcoming term for one outstanding student from government schools (Grade 7 up to Form 2). To be eligible for this award, the student must:
1. Recite the following speech over a video.
2. Send the video to +263788933229.
3. Join our channel and encourage others to join so they can vote for the video on our WhatsApp channel.

The student whose video garners the most likes on our WhatsApp channel will be declared the winner and will have their school fees for the coming term paid by RAD.

We encourage all interested students from government schools (Grade 7 to Form 2) to participate in this opportunity and invite others to join our channel to vote for their favorite video.

Remember you have to state your name and the name of school and any other relevant information on your video recording.

Here is the speech.
We have chanted so much, "Say No to drug abuse," and it has become a chorus without any depth of meaning. Nothing has been changing for the better, but to the worst. We must work on depth over rhetoric. We often blame unemployment and economic challenges, but the pandemic has proven to be beyond that. People from elite backgrounds are also being caught in the same web of drug and substance abuse. What then can we say?

This pandemic is beyond our assumptions and imagination, and it is a force that we shouldn't consider carnal and fight physically. We have to go deeper into the spiritual arenas. This pandemic is for everyone to fight; some might say we are immune, but let us all remember "Ubuntu" - I am because we are. You are also ignorantly affected. Think of your till operator, your child's teacher, a football player, netball player, rugby player, a nurse, a bright student who have been and some are being entangled in this demise.

Let's join hands and redeem our past, our past of being selfish, careless, corrupt, and ignorant. Then we can secure our future; you and I are part of the future, for we cannot have a future without the past and present. Together, we can build a free drug and substance abuse Zimbabwe. Till then, we can restore our sanity and identity.

RESTORING AFRICAN DIGNITY (RAD) VISIONARY Aunt Vee.

The fight against drugs goes on untill we have saved every soul.

This week, I officially launched the National Resource Mobilisation Programme to strengthen our collective response to the drug and substance abuse crisis. As a nation, we must act with urgency to protect our youth and rebuild communities.

My Government has prioritised this challenge with a ZIG 865 million allocation in the 2025 Budget, and identified 67 centres for rehabilitation across the country. I call on all of us—churches, communities, individuals, and businesses—to support this national effort.

Collectively, we will fight this scourge and eliminate the drug culture.
