As we end the year 2024, we would love to share what we achieved this year and express our deep gratitude for the direct and indirect support we received. Our previous project, a documentary on the issues faced by young people in Ngozi Mine, received significant local and international recognition. This documentary addressed critical issues such as:
- Child marriages
- Gender-based violence
- Adolescent pregnancies
- HIV/AIDS
- Restricted access to healthcare
Through workshops and community screenings, we helped 100 young men and women tell their stories, fostering a supportive environment where they could express themselves. The documentary has been featured in major newspapers and has been screened in countries including Germany, Malawi, Kenya, and the United States.
What makes this achievement even more special is its participation in international film festivals, such as the Lift-Off Sessions in London, where it reached global audiences and highlighted the voices of the residents of Ngozi Mine.
We are incredibly proud of what we've accomplished together and remain committed to raising awareness and advocating for the issues that matter most to our communities. Thank you for your support, encouragement, and belief in our mission. Here’s to another year of making a difference! U.S. Embassy Zimbabwe Community Engagement Exchange Program UNICEF Zimbabwe
