Today, we celebrate Condom Day, a crucial moment to raise awareness about safe s*x and the importance of using condoms to protect ourselves and others from s*xually transmitted infections (STIs) and unintended pregnancies.

Condoms are one of the most effective tools we have in promoting s*xual health and responsible behavior. They help ensure that everyone can enjoy a fulfilling s*xual life while staying safe.

This day reminds us that we must work together individuals, communities, and the government to promote s*xual health education and ensure access to condoms for all. Everyone deserves to have the knowledge and resources to make safe choices.

Together, we can pave the way for a healthier and safer future. Let's make every day a condom day! 🛡️✨

In this video, we show a transformative collaborative initiative between Zimbabwe and Kenya aimed at empowering the Goga community. Our project focuses on enhancing s*xual and reproductive health education and rights (SRHER) knowledge among young women and girls, specifically targeting 100 girls from Ogenya Girls High School and Kanjira Primary School, along with 20 women from the Goga Women’s group. Join us as we explore the impactful workshops, community engagement events, and educational documentary film screenings that have been instrumental in addressing critical issues such as teen pregnancies, school dropouts, and early marriages. Witness firsthand the stories of resilience and empowerment as we highlight the importance of SRHER education in shaping a brighter future for these young women and girls.

As we end the year 2024, we would love to share what we achieved this year and express our deep gratitude for the direct and indirect support we received. Our previous project, a documentary on the issues faced by young people in Ngozi Mine, received significant local and international recognition. This documentary addressed critical issues such as:

- Child marriages
- Gender-based violence
- Adolescent pregnancies
- HIV/AIDS
- Restricted access to healthcare

Through workshops and community screenings, we helped 100 young men and women tell their stories, fostering a supportive environment where they could express themselves. The documentary has been featured in major newspapers and has been screened in countries including Germany, Malawi, Kenya, and the United States.

What makes this achievement even more special is its participation in international film festivals, such as the Lift-Off Sessions in London, where it reached global audiences and highlighted the voices of the residents of Ngozi Mine.

We are incredibly proud of what we've accomplished together and remain committed to raising awareness and advocating for the issues that matter most to our communities. Thank you for your support, encouragement, and belief in our mission. Here’s to another year of making a difference! U.S. Embassy Zimbabwe Community Engagement Exchange Program UNICEF Zimbabwe
