Watanga micro-fund is non-profit organization which seeks to help alleviate and eradicate poverty from the poor unbanked and underfunded
communities around the world. Through the use of information technology systems such as web applications and mobile money services Watanga
links individual Angel lenders and the under resourced marginalized entrepreneurs in various continents, countries and commu
nities around the world. Watanga is an African word which means “To Start” and the role of Watanga.org is to give the less privileged a better start towards self sustenance and
entrepreneurial development by creating a link between the underfunded and unbanked poor communities around the world and philanthropic
individuals, organizations and governments who seek to help eradicate poverty. The link is created electronically through information technology
systems and mobile money services. Watanga also acts as a moderator between the two parties in finding a common meeting ground. The
organization will also ensure that resources are effectively channeled to their beneficiaries for maximum results and returns.
