FACHIG Trust participated in a Biomonitoring training under the Holistic Land and Livestock Management programme at MusoroMuchena Skills for Life in Makonde, held on 14–15 April.
This training strengthened participants’ understanding of how biodiversity (plants, insects, and microorganisms ) can be used to assess ecosystem health and inform smarter land use. It also included practical sessions on mapping and planned grazing, with a strong focus on biodiversity protection and climate resilience.
Participants gained practical skills through hands-on learning, guided demonstrations, and discussions on how to integrate biomonitoring in the community.
The two representatives from FACHIG will share the knowledge and lessons gained back to their respective communities through community training and follow-up sessions.
FACHIG Trust extends sincere appreciation to PELUM Zimbabwe and partner organizations for facilitating this impactful training.
