There is no greater joy than serving the Lord!! As an organization we’re so grateful for the opportunity to minister and share His love with the students from Hadane Secondary School in Nkayi. We are also soooo grateful for donations that we have received recently that have helped us make a positive impact in taking care of educational needs!! May God continue His great work in each of our girls. 🙏

What a humbling experience it was to serve the elderly and those in need in the Dakamela community. Through the generosity of Project Love, we were able to distribute clothing to those who needed it most, but our greatest desire was that they would encounter Jesus! What began as a distribution became so much more…. We witnessed the Lord move beautifully through prayer, healing, restoration, and salvation, and we saw God touch lives in ways we have never experienced before as an organisation. 🙌
As Khanya, this reminded us that the work is bigger than one generation! We are not only called to reach young girls, but also to model before them what it means to carry compassion, honour, and responsibility for the community. We are truly grateful to Project Love for always remembering us, considering Zimbabwe, and sending quality donations that continue to reach those who need them most. We are also grateful to the community leadership and everyone who helped make this outreach possible. May Jesus be glorified through every seed of love, every prayer, and every life touched!! 🙌🙌

We had a time of devotion with the girls, reflecting on the life of Esther and what it means to be called for such a time as this.

Sis Me spoke about Esther’s background, how she had lost both her parents and was raised by Mordecai, yet she did not allow that to define her. She did not say, “because I don’t have parents, I cannot be used” or limit herself because of where she came from. She was not insecure in her position, but carried herself with a sense of identity and confidence that came from her relationship with God.

Esther’s life showed that impact does not start when you arrive somewhere, it starts in the years of building with God. Esther did not suddenly begin seeking God when she became queen. There had already been a foundation. This is what gave her the strength to fast, seek the Lord, and take the risk to approach the king. Without that relationship, that kind of decision and impact would not have been possible!

Sis Me also shared on the importance of not feeling sorry for ourselves, but choosing to invest in our inner man. That there is so much that can come out of a life that is built over time.

Pst Smartt, our special guest, also shared on the importance of having a personal relationship with God and how it shapes one’s life. He then gave the girls an opportunity for salvation and prayed with them. ✨

We spent time with the girls in Dakamela, Nkayi working on promise writing, goal setting, verse meditation, and life visions. It was such a productive day and good engagement from everyone!

We also spoke about What Will You Be Remembered For (in this life), because a lot of us live without thinking about impact! We don’t always ask ourselves what God has actually called us to do, or if we are living for something bigger than ourselves. 🙌

So we encouraged the girls to think differently. To see themselves as problem solvers, not just people chasing things for themselves! Even if it starts at home, being the one who brings education into the family, who opens doors for opportunities, who becomes someone others can look up to. ✨

That’s the kind of vision we want them to carry, especially coming from rural backgrounds.👏👏👏

God’s provision for our community!! 🙌🙌✨
We are so grateful to Project Love for sending us SEVEN drums of preloved clothing and shoes all the way from America!! This support has come at the right time for us. ❤️
It will take care of the girls who have joined the programme, as well as orphans, children living with disabilities, and the elderly and widows in our rural communities! This kind of provision has really made a difference for us this year. 🙌🙌
Thank you for standing with us and supporting the work we are doing!! We see the hand of the Lord in this and we are very grateful. 👏👏👏

What a proud moment for us as we celebrate Cleopatra Dube and the beautiful milestones she has reached. 👏🌟

Cleo we will miss you so much!! You have been so consistent in this journey and your discipline has spoken louder than words! Year after year you showed up, even when the progress felt a bit slow and the results were not immediate…Your journey is a powerful example to other young women from the area of Zinyangeni and Nkayi. It shows that when you are resilient, determined, and refuse to give up, you can go far…
Cleo taught us all something very important: as long as you are moving forward, there is progress!! Many people get tired when things do not move fast enough, but she stayed the course and trusted the process until the fruit of her labour began to show… 🙌🙌

Cleo congratulations on all you have achieved. We are incredibly proud of you. 👏👏 As Khanya Be the Light, we will truly miss you and we pray that wherever you go, you will continue to be a light and an encouragement to other young women who are still on their journey.

Celebrating Simelinkosi Dube and her incredible journey with Khanya Be the Light (2018–2026) 🤍
From the moment she joined us, Simelinkosi has carried determination and a vision for her future. Today, we stand so proud of the woman she has become and the milestones she has achieved through commitment and perseverance.

During her journey with Khanya, she has successfully completed:
• Advanced Skills Training in Jewellery Bead-work
• Certificate in Professional Baking – Professional Baking School
• Diploma in Dental Assisting – Dental Assistant Training Programme

This is more than a list of qualifications!! It is a testimony of growth, discipline, and courage. 👏👏👏Simelinkosi has embraced every opportunity to learn, to stretch herself, and to build a future filled with purpose. 🙌

We would like to sincerely thank Morning Star Christian Academy for their generous donation of pre-loved school shoes to Dakamela Primary School!! 👟🥿👞🩴
Last year some of the learners received shoes from Dakamela Primary school and unfortunately others didn’t receive any. This time, over 80 leaners have a pair of shoes that they can use for school. Some of the kids struggling the most received 2 pairs of shoes. We want to thank you for your heart of compassion and care for community as a school. Thank you to all the Morning Star parents who have given so generously, we appreciate you all!! Siyabonga 👏👏👏
