VULNURABLE FAMILIES REPORT โ€“ 2 new families

During my visit at Munenge family and Tshuma families, the beneficiaries were very happy to receive the urgent assistance of food and utensils provided by Fiona at ZFM

Tshuma family is a household with 5 members, Sophia female 69 years a widow, Sibangani female 19 years she is disabled with one hand, she was bitten by a snake when she was 2 years old. Trust is an orphan 11 years old he is in need of clothes, uniform and school fees and Lindinkosi is aged 11 years old, who is an orphan who greatly needs any kind of assistance.

The Munenge family is a household with 5 members, Maria is a disabled widow 76 years old living with her 4 grandchildren. Moreblessing who is 28 years old with her 2 children works in the field for the family to help sustain their lives, she depend on piece jobs to feed the family, Sikhanyisiwe 25 years she is an orphan who also assist Moreblessing to feed the family. Elton is 8 years and Clarity 5 years are orphans their mother passed away during Covid, they are in further need of the very basics, food, clothes, blankets and school fees.

We thank god for the provisions to distribute food and other items to these vulnerable families at such a difficult time. The families greatly appreciated the prayers, provisions and support offered from ZFM. The families were happy and smiling during the distribution. It was a great relief to them since they are disadvantaged and unable to work for themselves because of disabilities, vulnerability and age. During the distribution of food the families appreciated and were so happy to receive the food items, blankets and kitchen utensils.

Due to long dry spells, water scarcity have become a crises in Binga Zimbabwe, pastors cows and vulnerable families in Binga are travelling long distances daily in order to access water for drinking, domestic use and even pastures. Plant growth and crops were destroyed by poor climate thus Elnino effects, heat waves and the very low rainfall received. This has affected a lot of people in the rural areas including our beloved disadvantaged families.
Lastly, I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who extends their hands to promote the Lordโ€™s work. I know itโ€™s not only finances that come through but itโ€™s also your everyday prayers that keep us going. As we labour in the house of the Lord, I know we are not alone, so thank you for remembering. May God continue to bless and remember you in all your dreams. To your team and partners your work is amazing, may God grant you wisdom, protection, guidance and understanding in whatever you are doing for Him and the Ministry. Thank you.

God Bless You

Date: February 2024, and Christmas holidays parcel delivery
Title: Visit to Simon and Diana
Hope Zimbabwe (HZ) visited Simon and Diana over the Christmas Holidays in order to distribute food and clothing items as a way of spreading Christmas cheer to the elderly couple, with thanks to ongoing donor from ZFM โ€“ Zimbabwe Food Mission.
Diana excitedly jumped to her feet as soon as she spotted the team making its way to her homestead and also informed Simon that the Hope team had come to visit. Prior to distribution, the team had a brief chat with the couple who narrated that the rainy season had so far been very disappointing and they were apprehensive on what the coming months and winter would be like for them in terms of access to food as they had already tried to plant some maize in a small portion of their field, but crops were mostly unsuccessful in the area due to the high temps and poor rainfall. The couple indicated that doesnโ€™t have money to be able to buy food items should the lack of enough rains for farming continues.
The team handed over the items which they had brought for the couple courtesy of a regular contributor to ZFM who has a strong desire to help the vulnerable.
The package for Simon and Diana comprised of food items including mealie meal, chunks, sugar beans, tea leaves, cooking oil, salt and sugar among plenty other essential and non-food items including dishwashing liquid and toilet rolls/tissue and clothing. These items came at the perfect moment for the family who now had something to smile about over the holidays and able to enjoy a meal on their table.
Hope team remains immensely grateful to ZFM who still remember to give to those with less than at a time when the world has evolved to care less and less about the disadvantaged. Simon and Diana also expressed their gratitude for the act of kindness of the well-wishers and wished them well in all their endeavours for their act of giving to the elderly.

Visit to Emilyโ€™s Family
In its quest to spread the Christmas cheer to the some of the vulnerable families in Binga, HZ, Team Hope paid a visit to Emilyโ€™s family in Mabula in order to handover their hamper courtesy of Zimbabwe Food Mission.
Emily was with Ndoomba on the day of the visit. Enoch, Gift and Givemore were not home on the day of the visit and had apparently gone to the fields to work.
Emily jumped with joy at the sight of the HZ, Team Hope (which was accompanied by the children from Kabwe Childrenโ€™s Home). The team handed over food and clothing items to Emily and her family. Emily was especially grateful to receive mealie meal as she indicated that the family was struggling to make ends meet and was forced to sleep on empty stomachs on some days.
Mealie meal is a staple food in Zimbabwe but it is already hard to come by in the rural areas and is generally expensive when available.
Zimbabwe is currently supposed to be in the middle of the rainy seasons but very limited rains have been received throughout the country, hence already struggling families will likely face increasing struggles to put food on the table as the year progresses. As such, the family was ecstatic to receive the food items to alleviate their hunger.
In addition to mealie meal, the family received cooking oil, sugar, flour, salt and chunks as well as clothing items for all the family members. Emily expressed her gratitude to Team Hope for delivering, and for the ZFM well-wishers who graciously donated to help cater for the needs of her family and make this possible.
Emily uttered โ€œtwalumbaโ€ (Thank you) continuously as the team handed over the items to her.
Thank you to ZFM and the well-wishers for the continued support for the vulnerable families of Binga and enabling HZ, Team Hope to attend and put smiles on the faces of our most vulnerable families.

To assist these families and orphans please make contact with ZFM through page or donate through GoFundMe link in comments, Thank you ZFM๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™

Visit to Juliaโ€™s family
Team Hope paid a visit to Julia and her family in the month of December to bring Christmas cheer to the family by handing over a food parcel for the family courtesy of Zimbabwe Food Mission. Unfortunately, Nicholas was not at home when Team Hope made the visit and the team was instead received by his wife Julia. Julia was happy to see the team and remarked that it had been a while since getting a visit from the team. Julia received food items including mealie meal, chunks, cooking oil, rice, sugar, flour, as well as salt. The team also handed over sweet treats to the family (chocolate), all in the spirit of the season of giving, thank you ZFM.
Julia also received tissue and green bar soap as part of her hamper. Julia expressed immense gratitude for the parcels received, exclaiming that she was especially grateful for the chunks that would serve as relish for many meals to come. Julia indicated that relish was usually a challenge for her family, hence was grateful that she and her family were going to be catered for by way of relish during the rest of the holiday season.
Aside from the food items, Julia and Nicholas also received clothing items they will be able to wear as they perform different tasks at home. Julia expressed her gratitude to the team for delivering and also to Zimbabwe Food Mission and the well-wishers who graciously donated to the cause of helping her family through ZFM. Team Hope remains appreciative of Zimbabwe Food Missionโ€™s continued efforts to spread joy in all corners of Binga.

Title: Report on families visit and distribution
HZ team visited Emily, Nicholas and Simonโ€™ families to distribute food, clothing and other essential items to the three families.
The families each received a comprehensive package of food items, clothing items as well as kitchen and general essentials.

Emily (from the first family visited) remarked that she was pleased to accept items from ZFM & Team Hope after such a long time since last visit and indicated that the mealie meal and other food items had come at a great point of need in her family as they were struggling to get anything at all to eat since their harvest of the last rainy season was not great.
Emily was dancing and laughing with joy as she received her packages.

Hope team are grateful for the opportunity to spread the love to the vulnerable families in the community and is especially grateful to Zimbabwe Food Mission and well wishers behind the scenes for the continued love and support for the vulnerable families in Binga ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ
