The Youth Agrarian Society (YAS) is a registered non-profit making organization formed in 2007 with the overall goal of promoting the participation of young people in agrarian issues as a means towards poverty alleviation and enhancing food security in Zimbabwe. The organization is registered under Zimbabwe Youth Council, registration number NA009/0609. YAS is a youth oriented institution and has

its mainstream membership in tertiary and agricultural institutions as well as in marginalised communities of Zimbabwe where agriculture is the main source of people’s livelihoods
