Younite Zambia is proud to share that our member Lulu Tasi was invited to witness the official launch of the Dapivirine Vaginal Ring at the University Teaching Hospital (UTH) in Lusaka, 17th April 2026 officiated by the Honourable Minister of Health. The Dapivirine Vaginal Ring—a female-controlled HIV prevention method—is now available at UTH, alongside PrEP injectable prevention options.
The Minister emphasized that while we introduce new HIV prevention methods, consistent safe practices must continue, alongside stronger social media engagement to amplify real voices—especially from people living with HIV. He called for young people to take the lead, noting that platforms like Facebook are powerful spaces to educate, share experiences, and break stigma. He further stressed that youth voices must be heard beyond this moment—this is only the beginning.
📢 Call to Action:
Let’s step up and speak out! Young people must not be shy to talk about HIV prevention on radio, TV, and online platforms. Share your story, educate others, and be part of the change.
Together, let’s amplify awareness, normalize conversations, and protect our communities.
