Vulnerable but Viable β The Story of Mr. Siameso. π
Meet Mr. Siameso.
He is blind. He lost both his legs in a tragic accident many years ago. He lives with a double disability that would make most people give up.
But Mr. Siameso did not give up.
Despite everything, he is a carpenter. He works with his hands. He farms to feed his family. He has a wife and a child who also lives with a disability.
He is not asking for pity. He is asking for a chance.
HOW CHIMVULE FOUNDATION MET HIM
When we met Mr. Siameso, we sat with him. We listened to his story. And we shared it with the world.
The response was overwhelming.
Kind-hearted members of the public stepped forward.
They donated a bicycle for his mobility β a bicycle his son uses to carry him from place to place.
He also received carpentry tools to support his trade.
For the first time in a long time, Mr. Siameso felt seen.
But the Journey Is Not Over
Mr. Siameso is still asking for one thing: farming inputs.
He wants to grow more. He wants to farm. He wants to provide for his family with dignity β not depend on handouts.
He is vulnerable, but he is viable. He has the skills. He has the determination. He has the will to work. What he lacks are the resources to get started.
And Mr. Siameso is just one of many.
