A Solemn Warning for God's End-Time People

Many admire Samson's extraordinary strength. Heaven wants us to learn from his tragic weakness.
Samson was not destroyed because he lacked gifts. He was destroyed because he failed to guard his consecration.
The same danger confronts every Christian today.
1. God Gives Purpose Before He Gives Position
Before Samson ever opened his eyes, God had already declared why he would exist.

His calling preceded his birth.
Likewise, God never creates a life without purpose.

Samson's parents faithfully protected the sacred trust God had committed to them. Before Samson could guard his own calling, others guarded it for him.
There is a season when God hides, prepares, disciplines, and develops His servants before He publicly uses them.
David was prepared in lonely fields before the throne.
Joseph was prepared in prison before the palace.
Moses spent forty years in the wilderness before leading Israel.
Jesus Himself spent thirty quiet years before three and a half years of public ministry.
God values preparation more than promotion.
Lesson: Never rush God's process. A prepared character can safely carry a great calling.

2. Satan Does Not Fear Your Gifts—He Fears Your Connection with God
The Philistines discovered that defeating Samson physically was nearly impossible.
So they changed strategy.
Instead of attacking his muscles, they searched for the source of his strength.

Every compromise weakened his spiritual discernment until he no longer recognized danger.

Entertainment replaces meditation.
Conviction becomes inconvenience.
Soon the conscience grows quiet while sin grows louder.
Lesson: The safest place is complete obedience to every known command of God.

4. Delilah Represents More Than a Person
Delilah symbolizes anything that persistently seeks access to what God has commanded us to guard.
For some, it is an ungodly relationship.
For others, it is money.
Popularity.
Career ambition.
Secret sin.
Pride.
Worldliness.
Bitterness.
Anything that slowly pulls the heart away from wholehearted devotion to Christ can become a "Delilah."
Not every opportunity is God's opportunity.
Not every open door was opened by Heaven.

Lesson: Whatever repeatedly weakens your love for Christ should be surrendered before it destroys your usefulness.

As we approach the close of probation and the return of Christ, let us remember that the greatest strength any believer can possess is not physical power, intellectual brilliance, or public influence.

Appeal
If there is any "Delilah" in your life—anything drawing your heart away from Christ—do not negotiate with it.
Bring it to the foot of the Cross today.
God can restore what sin has damaged.
He can strengthen what compromise has weakened.
He can use even a humbled life for His glory.
