As we have placed our votes and now move into the counting and announcement of results, I want to take a moment to sincerely thank the people of Rufunsa, my family.

Thank you for the hope you have shown for a new beginning and for believing in the possibility of working together to build a better Rufunsa. I am truly grateful for every conversation, every encouragement, every prayer and every moment shared along this journey.

I also want to sincerely thank the NRPUP President, Brian Mundubile, and Vice President, Makebi Zulu, for believing in a youth for the Member of Parliament seat for Rufunsa and giving me the opportunity to be part of this journey. I will always be grateful for the trust you placed in me.

Now, we leave the outcome in God’s hands. Let us continue to pray for peace, remain patient and give the ECZ team the respect and space they need to carry out their important responsibility.

Whatever the outcome, may we continue to choose unity, peace and respect for one another. Rufunsa is our home, and our love for our people should always bring us together.

Wishing everyone peaceful days ahead as we await the counting and announcement of results.

As I stood on the hills of Rufunsa, I could see beyond just the bushes of lower Zambezi, I could see opportunities for our people and the nation as a whole.

This is a gateway to connecting Rufunsa to Southern Province and to the Central province. This will halve the distance for the Movement of our goods and this will also tremendously grow our local economy…

Because of this strategic location we can convince the government to bring an MFEZ through investors.
