TCAAZ is deeply saddened by the passing of Matias Chewe, a dedicated journalist who worked for Crown Television and previously served at Prime Television.

During his time reporting in , he courageously covered Gender-Based Violence (GBV) cases and stood as a strong voice for the vulnerable. His professionalism, bravery, and commitment to justice made a lasting impact on our community.

We extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and the media fraternity.

Out of the 9 pupils awarded, TCAAZ proudly supported the best-performing pupil with cash award as a way of encouraging academic excellence and child protection.

Community Sensitization Outreach on Child Protection

On 23rd January 2026, the Teacher Child Advocacy Association of Zambia (TCAAZ) held its first outreach of the year in the district!

📍 Location: Seke Community School — 15 km north of Mumbwa Town, 3 km west off Kamilambo Road, 3.5 km east of Kabwanga, covering over 11 villages.

🤝 The programme was carried out in partnership with:
Victim Support Unit (VSU)
Social Welfare
Ministry of Health (MoH)
DEBS Office

We engaged parents and learners on the importance of child protection, children’s rights, and community responsibility.

🙏 A big thank you to the school management for inviting TCAAZ and supporting this important cause.
