Today, Harmony for Humanity Foundation had the privilege of participating in a D-WASH meeting in Monze District as active members of the district platform. The meeting was held at the Monze Town Council, which coordinates the district D-WASH platform, and brought together various stakeholders committed to improving water, sanitation, and hygiene services within the district.
The meeting was supported by CARE International Zambia, who delivered a presentation on Market-Based Sanitation an innovative and sustainable approach aimed at increasing access to affordable and sellable sanitation solutions in communities.
Following the meeting, stakeholders conducted a site visit to Chisekesi to appreciate the Bulondo-Bulondo toilets, a practical example of market-based sanitation in action. The initiative aligns with Zambia’s broader sanitation goals towards achieving improved toilet coverage by 2030.
We remain committed to working alongside fellow stakeholders in promoting sustainable sanitation, public health, and community development.
