Community in Action: Supporting Chibelo Primary School
At Woyenera Open Arms Outreach (WOAO), we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive in an environment that nurtures their full potential.
In collaboration with Avencion, the P31 Network, under WOAO recently conducted a community outreach at Chibelo Primary School in support of the Government of Zambia's School Feeding Program.
The outreach aimed to supplement the school's feeding initiative through the donation of essential food supplies and utensils, contributing to the well-being of learners from vulnerable communities. This activity reflects our shared commitment to community development, child welfare, and sustainable impact.
As part of the outreach, learners and members of the school community also benefited from a substance abuse awareness session facilitated by Mr. Brian Chishimba, a former substance abuser, who courageously shared his personal journey. His testimony served as a powerful message on the importance of making healthy life choices, seeking support, and embracing hope.
We commend the Government of the Republic of Zambia for its continued efforts in implementing the School Feeding Program, recognizing that well-nourished learners are better positioned to succeed academically and socially.
We further call upon the private sector, cooperating partners, faith-based organizations, and communities across Zambia to join hands in supporting schools such as Chibelo Primary School. While important strides have been made, there are still additional needs that require collective action and sustained support.
At WOAO, we remain committed to empowering communities through compassion, partnership, and service. Together, we can make a lasting difference in the lives of our children, one meal and one act of kindness at a time.
