Livelihood Spotlight: Building Sustainable Futures

At Barlistrive Youth Society, empowering survivors goes beyond rescue it means creating pathways to independence.

This month we celebrate “Amina” (name changed), a refugee entrepreneur who turned a difficult past into a story of resilience.

The Entrepreneur

After escaping exploitation, Amina joined Barlistrive’s livelihood support program.

Through mentorship and small start-up support, she launched a vegetable trading business within the refugee community.

The Business

Every morning, Amina buys fresh produce and sells vegetables at a small market stall.
Her business is simple but powerful.

It represents independence, dignity, and opportunity.

The Income Impact

Today Amina earns enough income to:

✔ Save small amounts for growth
