Today, YES Youth Empowerment Skills Zambia, together with Pastor Chantale Oniasse, had the privilege of visiting Ms. Mercy Changufu (51) of Chaisa, a devoted mother of five.
Life has not been easy for Mercy. After her husband left the family for another woman, she was left to raise their children on her own. Sadly, due to her current condition, she is no longer able to provide for her family. Today, the responsibility of caring for her and her four younger siblings rests on the shoulders of her 22-year-old daughter, who works tirelessly to keep the family going despite many challenges.
Our visit was more than just delivering food. We spent time sharing the Word of God, praying with the family, offering encouragement, and presenting a small donation of food items as a reminder that they are not alone. While our contribution may be modest, we hope it brings comfort and hope as we continue to seek greater support for this family.
At YES Youth Empowerment Skills Zambia, we believe that every act of kindness matters. Together, we can restore hope, uplift vulnerable families, and remind them that their community cares.
