The Insurers Association of Zambia is a member organization for all licensed insurance and reinsurance companies in the country. It is registered under the Societies Act Cap. 119 of the Laws of Zambia. The A

ssociation is also recognized by the Insurance Act of 1997 as amended in 2005. The Association promotes professionalism among other things professionalism in the conduct of insurance business in the country. This face book page will provide a forum for the public to engage with the Association on issues related to insurance. All views expressed by the visitors to the page will be looked at and where possible a detailed feedback given on issues raised.

On Friday, 17th July 2026, the Insurance Association of Zambia (IAZ) hosted insurers and reinsurers for an industry indaba aimed at reflecting on the state of Zambia's insurance sector.

The meeting provided an opportunity to critically examine the challenges facing the industry, explore practical solutions, and chart a clear path forward for sustainable growth. CEOs and industry representatives engaged in productive discussions on key sector issues and reached several important resolutions.

Under the leadership of the newly elected Board, we are confident that the industry will achieve significant milestones that will strengthen the insurance sector and drive greater insurance uptake across Zambia.
