CHIEF OPERATIONS OFFICER (ZL2)
PURPOSE OF ROLE:
Responsible for strategic leadership in operationalizing an efficient back-office core support function through ICTs, claims processing, underwriting and policy administration, customer service and real estate.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs)
KPI 1: ICT Strategy
Develops and implements ICT strategy to ensure attainment of digitalization agenda of the business.
KPI 2: ICT Operations and support
Leads in the provision of ICT infrastructure, software, systems, and desk support to ensure efficient functioning of the business.
KPI 3: Business Continuity
Develops and leads in implementation of business continuity framework to ensure protection and integrity of ZSIC life systems and enhanced ability to recover after a disaster.
KPI 4: Claims Processing
Develops and implements strategy that establishes robust claims processing mechanism to ensure up to date settlement of claims.
KPI 5: Underwriting
Develops and implements a quality assurance mechanism that always captures and underwrites genuine business.
KPI 5: Policy Administration
Develops and implements mechanism for lodging captured new business and consistent follow through on business actualization through premium payments.
KPI 6: Customer Service
Develops and implements Customer Service that captures, processes, resolves complaints, and provide feedback to clients to ensure positive customer experience.
KPI 7: Real Estate Maintenance
Develops and implements strategy on real estate’s proactive maintenance to ensure improved properties, revenue on both pension and life properties.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Grade 12 Certificate
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Insurance, Computer Science, or related field
• Master’s degree in business administration, Operations Management, or related field is an added advantage
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in operational management, 5 of which must be at senior level.
