At Skills2live, our support does not end with equipping young people with vocational & technical skills. It goes beyond the classroom.

Following their business pitch presentations under the SUNstainable Youth Empowerment Project, graduates with viable and innovative business ideas were awarded startup kits to help turn their entrepreneurial dreams into reality.

By combining hands-on solar and electrical training with entrepreneurship, we are ensuring that our graduates are not only skilled for employment but are also empowered to build their own sustainable businesses.

Through the generous support of Contribute Foundation, we continue to invest in youth-led solutions for a greener, more sustainable future.

DENIM DAY 2026🤗

To commemorate Denim Day 2026, our students and staff came together in a powerful march past as a united voice against sexual violence.

Under this year’s theme, “Use Your Voice,” we stood in solidarity with survivors, challenged harmful myths, and reaffirmed a simple truth: what someone wears is never an invitation for abuse.

At Skills2Live Zambia (Young Africa ), we believe that true empowerment goes beyond skills. It requires dignity, respect, and safe spaces where every young person can thrive without fear.

Today was not just about awareness, but about action, reflection, and commitment to building safer futures for all. 👖

CREATING A CLEANER, GREENER CENTER.

Our students took the lead in promoting responsible waste management by preparing and placing stickers on bins for proper waste separation. With categories for plastic, paper, food, and metal, it’s now easier for everyone to dispose of waste correctly.

We are proud to now have 6 waste stations strategically placed around the center, making bins easily accessible and helping reduce littering.

This initiative is not just about cleanliness, it’s about building a culture of environmental responsibility and sustainability.

FROM WASTE TO WORTH

We are proud to share the successful completion of our Eco Shelter. A practical step towards promoting sustainability and innovative waste repurposing at our center.

Using discarded glass bottles that would otherwise contribute to environmental pollution, we have created a functional and beautiful space that reflects our commitment to environmental responsibility. This Eco Shelter is more than just a structure, it’s a learning model.

It will serve as a space where students can relax, small classes can be held, and visitors to the wellness center can comfortably wait as they access various services.

What makes this even more special is the hands-on involvement of our students throughout the entire process from the foundation to the final structure. This initiative not only promotes environmental awareness but also equips young people with practical, creative skills for sustainable living.

TAKING DIGITAL SKILLS TO THE COMMUNITY 💃

Yesterday was nothing short of amazing.
We successfully hosted our ICT & Digital Skills Activation Roadshow across Kamwala Market, Chawama Grounds, and Jack Market, reaching 1,580 people from our communities.

From interactive ICT quizzes and community engagement to on-the-spot enrollments and business insights for marketeers, the energy was unmatched. Youths and entrepreneurs alike explored how digital skills can transform their futures in today’s fast-changing world.

It was truly a full-package activation with:

✅ Entrepreneurship support
✅ E-learning enrollments
✅ Environmental Sustainability Talks
and career guidance all happening in one space.
