Dette Resources Foundation (DRF) is working with the ministry of health through the University Teaching Hospital in collaboration with Decisive Minds to supplement government efforts in the provision of health care services in order not "to leave anyone behind".

In this vain Dette Resources Foundation has embarked on resource mobilization through fundraising ventures to finance it's activities.

Dette Resources Foundation has launched a flagship "RED HAT CAMPAIGN". The purpose of this campaign is to raise funds for repartriation of the vulnerable and stranded discharged patients with their caregivers. Due to overstaying, the discharged patients deny bed spaces for other patients causing admitted patients to sometimes wait on wheel chairs as space is being created by hospital staff.

Currently the number of individuals getting stranded has increased beyond DRF capacity to alleviate their predicament. We have spine defects and oxygen dependant patients who sometimes stay for close to six months or more in the hospital after discharge due to lack of transport. We also have patients on dialysis requiring 3 times a week movements to the hospital, but sometimes they miss life serving sessions for lack of transportation and other logistics hence the Red Hat Campaign.
