Globally, women occupy only 30% of managerial positions in the labour market.

These figures reflect barriers that continue to limit potential and slow progress. Strengthening negotiation and communication skills is essential to fostering inclusive leadership.

A four-day training designed to equip women with the confidence, strategic tools and networks to overcome structural barriers and participate fully in decision-making spaces.

In 2025, the Office advanced the policy's implementation through several key initiatives:

โ€ข The ICC issued arrest warrants against two leaders of the Taliban for crimes against humanity in Afghanistan, including the persecution of girls by denying them their fundamental rights such as to education.

โ€ข Kony case (Uganda): The Office is pursuing accountability for war crimes & crimes against humanity, including systemic crimes against children. In November, ICC judges confirmed these charges.

โ€ข In Darfur, the Office welcomed the conviction of a former Janjaweed leader, whereby boys & girls were among victims whose suffering was recognised, reaffirming its commitment to protect children's rights in conflict.

Pupils at Kasalu Primary School in Nangoma appeared before Commissioners, on 19th November, 2025 and voiced out a range of concerns regarding early marriages and teenage pregnancies which they linked to peer pressure, poverty and the negative impact of nearby mining activities.

The pupils, aged between 12 and 17 years, openly acknowledged that many of their peers were engaging in early sexual relationships, some as young as 10 years old.
