Today marked another milestone for the Girl Guides Association of Zambia as we proudly held an Enrolment Ceremony in Kasempa District, welcoming new girls into the Guiding family.

Deeply honoured by the presence of our Chief Commissioner, who presided over the ceremony and Senior Chief Kasempa, whose attendance and blessing made the occasion even more meaningful.

Together, we continue to empower girls and young women with leadership, confidence, skills and values that will shape a brighter future.

Empowering Girls and Creating Future Leaders.

The Kasempa Girl Guides had the privilege of mentoring girls at the Keep Girls in School Symposium held at Mukinge Girls Boarding School in Kasempa District.

Under the theme “Empowering Girls Creating Future Leaders,” we engaged and inspired girls from six schools across the district on the importance of education, leadership and believing in their potential.

Honouring a Life of Service.

The Chief Commissioner of the Girl Guides Association of Zambia, today signed the Book of Condolences in honour of Zambia’s former Vice President, Dr. Guy Scott.

Join us as we make history in Kasempa.

The countdown is on to the official launch of Kasempa Girl Guides on 1st August 2026. Today, Girl guides took another exciting step by going live on Kasempa FM Radio, where they sensitized the community about the Girl Guides Association of Zambia and invited girls, parents and community members to be part of this life changing movement.

Our radio advert will continue airing until 1st August 2026, building excitement as we prepare to empower more girls with confidence, leadership and skills for life.

Community engagement in action.

The Girl Guides of Kasempa paid a courtesy visit to the DEBS Office in Kasempa as part of their ongoing community sensitization efforts. The visit provided an opportunity to strengthen partnerships, promote the values of Guiding, and raise awareness about empowering girls and young women through leadership, service and community involvement.

Day 03 at Camp 🏕️💙

Itwas all about creating a safe space for every girl to be heard, valued and empowered.

During our “Free Being Me – Talk to Her” session, we had open and honest conversations about confidence, self-esteem, embracing our uniqueness and believing in ourselves. We also explored what it truly means to be a Girl Guide and the values that unite us.

The session continued with an interactive discussion on menstrual health and hygiene, where we addressed common myths, shared facts and encouraged girls to speak openly without fear or stigma.

It was more than just a discussion it was a moment of learning, empowerment and sisterhood, equipping every girl with knowledge, confidence, and the courage to be herself.

Creativity was in full bloom as our Guides explored the art of beadwork, transforming colourful beads into beautiful earrings, bracelets, keyholders and other handmade creations.

Beyond making beautiful crafts, they developed patience, focus, creativity and fine motor skills while expressing their unique talents. Every bead threaded was a step towards building confidence, learning new skills, and discovering that they are capable of creating something truly special. Camp Day 02.

Learning by doing. Our Guides built practical skills through different activities, From mastering essential knot-tying techniques and learning lifesaving first aid skills to engaging in meaningful conversations about mental health and well-being, every session was an opportunity to build confidence and resilience.

The day was officially opened by our Chief Commissioner and Board Members, inspiring every Guide to embrace the true spirit of Guiding and camping.

As the sun set, everyone gathered around the campfire for a special storytelling night. Through stories, songs and shared laughter, friendships grew stronger and traditions were passed on, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Every lesson learned today is a skill for life.
