Good afternoon fellow entrepreneurs and Zambia. To those that missed Friday's edition of "Walking the SME Talk" on znbc tv1 at 21:05hrs, we did have a very fruitful discussion with the Honourable minister Eng. Peter Kapala - minister of Fisheries and Livestock including our callers from around the country as we tackled the " Beef Value Chain in Zambia. Among the topical issues were 1. The enhancement of the extension services by (a) Employing of more extension officers (b) Providing transport for the officers to increase their mobility and accessibility. 2. Sinking of boreholes to increase water accessibility for drinking and feeding for the animals (hay etc.) 3. Infrastructure development (a) Construction of a vaccine centre and lab in Chilanga district and (b) Grading of access and feeder roads for service delivery. Capacity building and mindset change of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises in this case our smallholder farmers was one aspect emphasized as a critical component that need not only embracing but also to be the core of our development agenda, if we're to see sustainable growth of the Livestock sector. Good afternoon fellow entrepreneurs and the entire MSME family! Just to give you a visio recup of Thursday's edition of Walking the SME Talk prgram, were we hosted the permanent secretary in the ministry of Small and Medium Enterprise Development Mrs Subeta Mutelo, to discuss the importance of Capacity Building in MSME Growth! Amongst many pronouncements made during the discussion is that going forward is that access to finance from public institutions for CDF, CEEC etc. Shall be contingent to that cooperative or SME having been given Capacity Building training, upon which they will be certified ready to be empowered. It is that certificate which will qualify that group, cooperative or SME to access the required loan or grant. Last but not least, we would like to thank you all for having made a date with us on Thursday and for interacting with us by means of the calls, because Your Voice Powers Progress!
