Teaching and Learning Excellence Foundation , Youth Day Message 2026
Today, as Zambia commemorates Youth Day under the theme “Arise and Soar,” we are reminded that the future of our nation is not waiting somewhere ahead, it is already being shaped by the energy, creativity, and determination of our young people today.
At the Teaching and Learning Excellence Foundation, we believe that when young people are empowered through quality education, critical thinking, innovation, and strong values, they do not merely participate in society, they transform it. Zambia’s youth have the capacity to rise above limitations, challenge outdated systems, and design solutions that move communities forward.
“Arise and Soar” is therefore not just a slogan. It is a call to action. It is a strategic reminder that young people must take ownership of their growth, invest in knowledge, develop practical skills, and actively contribute to national development. The world is evolving rapidly, and Zambia needs a generation that is bold enough to innovate, resilient enough to overcome challenges, and disciplined enough to lead with integrity.
We urge young people across Zambia to dream bigger, learn continuously, and act responsibly. Your ideas matter. Your voice matters. Your contribution to community development, environmental sustainability, entrepreneurship, and leadership matters.
As a foundation committed to strengthening education and youth development, we reaffirm our dedication to creating platforms where young people can learn, grow, lead, and thrive. When youth rise, communities prosper. When youth soar, nations transform.
Happy Youth Day, Zambia.
Arise. Lead. Innovate. Soar.

International Women’s Day 2026 | Give to Gain
When we invest in women and girls, we invest in a stronger future for everyone.
At the Teaching and Learning Excellence Foundation (TLEF), we believe that empowering girls through education, mentorship, and opportunity creates a ripple effect that strengthens families, uplifts communities, and builds nations. Every lesson taught, every girl supported, and every opportunity created is a seed planted for lasting transformation.
This year’s theme, “Give to Gain,” reminds us that when we give our time, knowledge, resources, and support to women and girls, society gains innovation, resilience, leadership, and sustainable development. Empowered girls become confident women who lead change and shape a better future.
Today, we celebrate the courage, intelligence, and potential of every girl and woman. Together, let us continue to empower girls, strengthen communities, and build Africa’s future.
Happy International Women’s Day 2026.

At the Teaching and Learning Excellence Foundation, we categorically reject narratives that reduce women to body parts or promote the targeting of students as romantic prospects.
First, speaking about women in terms of “fallen breasts” or “stretch marks” is not only disrespectful, it reflects a profound lack of maturity and emotional intelligence. A woman’s body changes through life, childbirth, growth, and lived experience. That is not a flaw, that is biology and dignity.
Second, glorifying relationships with students raises serious ethical and safeguarding concerns. Students are in a protected developmental and academic space. Any adult who views that environment as a dating pool demonstrates compromised judgment. Education spaces must remain safe, professional, and purpose-driven.
Let’s be clear:
Real masculinity is not about chasing youth.
Real leadership is not about objectifying women.
Real character is revealed in how you speak about those who are not present.
We stand for respect, accountability, and the protection of learners. Any rhetoric that undermines those principles has no place in progressive educational ecosystems.
If we want a society that thrives, we must elevate our standards — not lower them to accommodate immaturity.

Leadership Mistakes Killing School Growth in Zambia
Let’s address what many people avoid saying.
Many Zambian schools are not struggling because teachers are incompetent.
They are not collapsing because learners are incapable.
They are stagnating because of leadership blind spots.
Yes, leadership mistakes are silently suffocating school growth.
In Zambia today, we have:
Schools with no clear vision beyond “opening doors.”
Proprietors running institutions without governance structures.
Head teachers managing operations without growth strategies.
Schools focused on survival instead of scalability.
Leaders who fear accountability and data.
Growth does not happen by chance.
It is engineered.

If leadership is weak, no amount of advertising will increase enrolment sustainably.
If systems are absent, staff turnover will drain institutional memory.
If financial controls are loose, profitability disappears.
If culture is toxic, excellence cannot thrive.
A school is not just classrooms and uniforms.
It is strategy, systems, structure, sustainability, and succession planning.
At the Teaching and Learning Excellence Foundation-TLEF we are challenging school leaders to move from:
Informal management → Structured governance
Emotional decision-making → Data-driven leadership
Short-term survival → Long-term institutional growth
Owner-dependency, System-dependency
Zambian schools deserve leadership that is visionary, accountable, and growth-oriented.
If you are serious about building a structured, profitable, and growth-driven school in Zambia:
Comment “GROWTH”
Or send us a direct message.
Let’s fix what is silently killing your school.

ZAMBIANS HAVE THE SKILLS - EXPATRIATES SHOULD NOT TAKE YOUR JOBS

I have reminded government through the Vice President that Zambians are well qualified and expatriates should not be given jobs that can be done by ourselves.

We need a national audit of companies to establish the following ;

1. If adverts were done for jobs given to foreigners

2. If no Zambian was qualified for such a job advert

3. If the work permit issued to a foreigner met the requirements

4. The expatriate levels in terms of numbers

Section 14 of the employment code of 2019 is very instructive on giving Zambians first priority when employing
