As Empower 360 marks 2 Years of Impact tomorrow, we take a moment to celebrate and appreciate individuals who believed in the vision from the very beginning.

Today, we spotlight Dr. Mazyanga Lucy Mazaba a leader, mentor, and strong supporter whose belief in Empower 360 came even before our official launch.

From offering guidance and mentorship to facilitating sessions and supporting the organisation, Dr. Mazaba has played a meaningful role in helping shape the foundation of Empower 360. Her commitment to youth empowerment and leadership development continues to inspire us.

One of her favourite quotes says:

“TRUE LEADERSHIP IS NOT ABOUT RISING ABOVE OTHERS, BUT ABOUT RISING WITH THEM THROUGH LIFTING VOICES, BUILDING SYSTEMS, AND MENTORING THE NEXT GENERATION TO LEAD EVEN BETTER.”

Thank you, Dr. Mazaba, for believing in us, supporting the vision, and helping us build a platform that continues to impact young people.

Happy 2 Years to Empower 360. 🎉

A powerful reminder from President Duma Gideon Boko to young people across Africa.

For a long time, youths have been told they are the leaders of tomorrow. But the truth is, the continent will not change by waiting. Change begins with us, now, in our schools, communities, businesses, ideas, and daily actions.

We may not all hold positions of authority, but each one of us has a role to play in building a better Africa economically, socially, and morally.

Do what you can, with what you have, from where you are. Progress starts when young people become proactive instead of spectators.

🇿🇲 Zambian Excellence | The Power of Vision, Scale & Consistency

In Zambia, we often celebrate entrepreneurs only when they become visible. But behind many large institutions, industries, and systems are business leaders whose stories deserve deeper appreciation.

Today, we spotlight Mulenga Stephen Mikalile a businessman whose entrepreneurial journey reflects the possibilities of vision, consistency, and long-term thinking.

From humble beginnings supplying general merchandise across Zambia, Dr. Mikalile built what is now known as the Mika Group of Companies with interests spanning:

- Hospitality ( Mika Hotels )
- Meat processing ( Mika Meats )
- Clearing & forwarding
- Mining
- Agriculture
- International trade

His business footprint stretches beyond Zambia into Tanzania, Angola, China, and other international markets.

What many young people may not know is that companies linked to his operations have supplied goods and services to numerous public and private institutions across Zambia over the years demonstrating the scale local entrepreneurship can reach when built strategically.

But perhaps the most powerful lesson from his story is this:

👉 Big businesses are not built overnight.

They are built through:
- Relationships
- Trust
- Persistence
- Capacity
- And the courage to think beyond survival

💡 Lessons for Young Entrepreneurs:

- Start with what you have
- Build systems, not shortcuts
- Think regionally, not only locally
- Consistency compounds over time
- Position yourself where opportunities flow

At Empower 360, we believe Zambia needs more young people who are willing to build patiently, think boldly, and create enterprises that outlive them.

Dr. Mikalile’s story reminds us that entrepreneurship is not only about making money rather it is about creating value, opportunities, and economic influence.

Dr. Stephen Mulenga Mikalile, what advice would you give to young Zambians who dream of building businesses that can compete on a continental level?

🇿🇲 Zambian Excellence | Leadership, Impact & Legacy

Dr. Mahtani’s journey is a powerful reminder that true success is not only measured by business growth, but by impact, resilience, and contribution to society.

As the force behind the Mahtani Group of Companies, his influence spans across multiple sectors from finance and manufacturing to agriculture, energy, and real estate expanding not only within Zambia but across the region and beyond.

He is the owner of the Mahtani Group of Companies and Finsbury Investments which includes Finance Bank, Professional Insurance, Finance Building Society, Professional Life Assurance and Zambezi Portland Cement

His recognition with the Forbes “Best of Africa” Award and the Outstanding Entrepreneur of the Year (2021) reflects a legacy built on vision, consistency, and long-term thinking.

But beyond business, what stands out is his commitment to giving back:

- Founder of Prison Fellowship Zambia, supporting inmates and justice reform
- Initiator of the Stephen Malama Award, empowering top law graduates through scholarships

This is leadership that goes beyond profit, it is purpose-driven.

💡 Key Lessons for Young Leaders:

- Build with vision, think beyond today
- Diversify with purpose, growth across sectors creates stability
- Resilience matters, leadership is tested in difficult seasons
- Impact is the true measure of success, give back as you grow

At Empower 360, we believe the next generation must not only admire such journeys but learn, apply, and build forward.

Dr. Rajan Mahtani, we would be honoured to hear from you - what principle has guided you in balancing business success with social impact?

🇿🇲 Zambian Excellence | Lessons from Visionary Entrepreneurship

When we talk about building lasting impact in Zambia’s private sector, Noble Findlay is a name that stands out.

What started in 1992 as a single branch has grown into Autoworld Limited now one of Zambia’s largest motor industry players, with multiple branches across the country. From vehicles and spare parts to marine boats, the vision expanded beyond mobility into opportunity.

But what makes this story powerful is not just scale — it’s strategy.

Findlay didn’t just sell cars.
He built convenience, trust, and an ecosystem.

Beyond Auto World, his involvement in developments like Woodlands Shopping Mall and ventures into mining and agriculture shows what it means to think beyond one industry.

💡 Key Lessons for Young Entrepreneurs:

- Start small, think big — one branch can become a national brand
- Solve real problems — convenience builds loyalty
- Diversify strategically — growth doesn’t have to be limited
- Consistency compounds — long-term vision wins

At Empower 360, we believe stories like these are not just to admire — but to learn from and build upon.

We’d love to hear directly from you, Mr. Findlay — what has been the most important principle that guided your journey?
