Our Story

In line with development policies such as the Sustainable Development Goals, Agenda-2063 and Zambia’s National Youth Policy; young people are at the center of Africa’s development agenda, but sadly they are among the most marginalized and face many challenges in achieving their dreams. Therefore, we would like to create platforms for training and mentoring young people so they can attain their full-potentials and increase their influence on public policy; to spur growth in decent work for them and increase their participation in community-led-change.

Mentor Dreams was thus founded in November 2017; with the vision to be a platinum center for mentorship, training and engagement of young people in peace-building and community-led-action for sustainable development.

Between June and September 2019, we conducted professional training workshops with young people, organized several peace sessions and formed two Peace-Clubs; expected to increase to at least 10 Peace-Clubs by 2021, reaching 1000+ youth participating in peace-building and community-service.
