Freedom Finance Campus Initiative Successfully Concludes Second Cohort at The Copperbelt University

Students For Liberty Zambia is proud to celebrate the successful completion of the second cohort of the Freedom Finance Campus Initiative, with 38 students graduating after a month-long Bitcoin education program at The Copperbelt University.

Through two cohorts, the initiative has now directly impacted 62 students, creating a growing network of young leaders committed to promoting Bitcoin education and adoption across Africa.

Key achievements from the initiative include:

⚡ 10 alumni awarded scholarships under the Bitcoin For Fairness Crack the Orange Program.

⚡ 4 alumni returning to serve as moderators and discussion leaders during the second cohort, showcasing the project's emphasis on leadership development and peer-to-peer learning.

We extend our sincere gratitude to our guest speakers:

OFFICIALLY LAUNCHING THE SECOND COHORT OF THE FREEDOM FINANCE CAMPUS INITIATIVE AT CBU

I am excited to officially announce the beginning of the second cohort of the Freedom Finance Campus Initiative at Copperbelt University (CBU).

Following the successful completion of our first cohort at Mukuba University, where students were introduced to concepts around Bitcoin, financial freedom, and the future of money, we are now expanding the mission to reach and empower more young people with financial knowledge and critical thinking skills.

This cohort marks another important step in building a community of young people who are willing to learn, engage, and explore new opportunities in the evolving financial landscape.

A special highlight of this journey is that all our moderators for the CBU cohort are alumni of our first cohort at Mukuba University. These are students who participated in the program, gained knowledge, and are now stepping forward to facilitate conversations and support the learning experience of others. This reflects the impact and continuity we aim to create — where participants become contributors.

To all the selected participants, congratulations and welcome aboard. Out of the many applications received, you have been chosen because of your passion and commitment to being part of this learning experience.

The journey begins now a journey of knowledge, innovation, and preparing young minds to understand and participate in the future of finance.

Cohort 1 Successfully Completed!

The Freedom Finance Campus Initiative at Mukuba University was successfully concluded with a highly engaging physical seminar following three weeks of intensive online learning.

Participants explored the history and evolution of money with Muyembe Jackson our Local Coordinator for Students For Liberty Zambia, gained valuable insights on fundamentals of Bitcoin from Mr Humphrey Simuyemba, Co-Founder of Bitcoin Victoria Falls, and learned the Cryptographic Security & Blockchain Technology from Tamala Lupili the Co-Founder of Bitcoin Banamayo Zambia

The final seminar combined theory and hands-on practice, allowing participants to set up Bitcoin wallets, create invoices, send and receive funds, share satoshis, and engage in interactive discussions and group activities.

We extend our sincere appreciation to all facilitators, participants, and African Students For Liberty for making this initiative possible. Together, we are building a more financially informed generation.
