Alhamdulillah, Al Ihsaan Trust had the privilege of hosting a group of learners and educators from Berea Theological University for an engaging and interactive session aimed at fostering understanding and dialogue about Islam.
The programme began with an introduction to some of the fundamental aspects of Islamic worship. The visitors were given a practical demonstration of how to purify oneself before Salah (prayer), including an explanation of the process of Wudu (ablution).
This was followed by a guided tour of the mosque, where the visitors were introduced to the various aspects of the mosque and its role in the Muslim community.
The group then gathered at the Al Ihsaan Hall, where the formal programme commenced with a beautiful recitation of the Holy Qur’an (Qira’ah), followed by welcoming remarks.
Thereafter, our honourable guest, Moulana Musa Mazunda from Makeni Islamic Society Trust, delivered a brief and informative introduction to Islam. He explained the Articles of Faith (Iman) and provided the attendees with an overview of the fundamental beliefs of a Muslim.
The Five Pillars of Islam were then explained in detail, giving the learners an understanding of the foundational acts of worship upon which the practical life of a Muslim is built.
The programme concluded with an engaging Question and Answer session, during which the learners were given an opportunity to ask questions about Islam and Muslim beliefs and practices. The questions were addressed in an open and informative manner, allowing for meaningful interaction and dialogue between the visitors and the speakers.
Al Ihsaan was honoured to host the learners and educators and appreciates the opportunity to facilitate such an educational and meaningful engagement. We pray that such initiatives continue to promote mutual understanding, respect, and meaningful dialogue within our diverse community.
