ZCTU calls for Social Justice!

ZCTU President, 𝐌𝐫. 𝐁𝐥𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐌𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐥𝐚, congratulates 𝐇𝐢𝐬 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲, 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 Hakainde Hichilema, on his re-election as 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐨𝐟 𝐙𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐢𝐚.

In his message, the ZCTU President reaffirmed the labour movement’s commitment to constructive engagement with Government in advancing workers’ rights, decent employment, social dialogue and improved living and working conditions for all Zambians.

As Zambia begins a new chapter, ZCTU looks forward to working with Government in the interest of workers and the nation.

The briefing highlighted ZCTU’s election monitoring observations, workers’ right to vote, appreciation of election workers, the need for peace and national unity, and the responsibilities of Government, political parties, security wings, employers and citizens following the elections.

ZCTU also called for respect for workers’ rights, accountability, peaceful resolution of disputes and a united Zambia as the country begins a new chapter after the elections.
