Everyday, my life evolves around living for those kids that can never repay me.

I want them to know that someone is there to inspire, empower, help them to develop, to challenge and give them hope.
I want someone to look back and say "I didn't give up because of that one person."

I am investing in their future.
I believe every child has got potential to succeed at their own individual level.
I believe in the kids, I believe in their future.

Developing Soccer together
By: Coach Jason.

A message to all parents.

Dear Parents,

I hope this message finds you in good health and high spirits. I am writing to you today with a shared passion for soccer and a desire to develop the sport at the grassroots level, whether as a recreational activity or a potential pathway for your child's development.

Soccer is more than just a game; it teaches valuable life skills such as teamwork, discipline, perseverance, and leadership. It promotes physical fitness, fosters friendships, and provides a platform for personal growth. As parents, you play a crucial role in shaping your child's journey in this beautiful sport.

By encouraging your child's interest in soccer, you are opening doors to a world of opportunities. Whether they dream of becoming professional players, representing their school or community, or simply enjoying the game with friends, your support is invaluable. Together, we can create an environment that nurtures their talent and enhances their overall development.

In our efforts to develop soccer at the grassroots level, we aim to provide a safe and inclusive space for children to learn, practice, and play. We will focus on age-appropriate training, emphasizing skill development, tactical understanding, and fair play. Our dedicated coaching staff will prioritize the well-being of every participant, ensuring that they enjoy the game while striving to reach their full potential.

We believe that soccer should be accessible to all children, regardless of their background or skill level. Our programs will cater to diverse age groups, offering a range of options from recreational leagues to more structured training programs. We encourage you to explore these opportunities and involve your child in the soccer community, as it can greatly enrich their overall experience.

Together, let us foster a love for the game, encourage sportsmanship, and instill values that extend beyond the soccer field. By joining forces, we can create a positive and nurturing environment for our children, helping them develop into well-rounded individuals.

Thank you for your support, and we look forward to embarking on this exciting soccer journey with you and your child.

Best regards,

Coach Jason.

"Every athlete has a story, and as a coach, I'm privileged to be a part of their journey."
10 years ago i coached these young players and for years, my passion and role as a coach has extended far beyond the game.

I have been inspired to be a mentor, a role model, and a source of inspiration for my athletes.

SPEAK NOW OR FOREVER HOLD YOUR PEACE

Am sure some of you remember when this phrase is used, right?😅
Am not sure why I am using this as my story title today but I do know that if you need to celebrate anyone, do it while they can still hear it themselves.

The past couple days my fingers were mostly directed towards me and mine due to a huge shift in our daily living. I haven't left it alone but still looking at solutions for mine and others less privileged than I am. I use my lived experience to advocate and raise awareness.

Today a name came to mind. It is someone I met at a meeting i was invited to by someone who was invited. Divine opportunities i could say. In 2019 we set up a "Dads Cave" made up of the "left over" dads who never abandoned their families raising children with Disabilities. We looked for opportunities where they could socially interact and soccer was one of the things we came up with. About 80% of households in our support groups have deserted fathers.

The event was to commemorate men's health week and at that planning meeting with key stakeholders I met Mr Jason Miti aka Niza Jason . Alot was said about him and how he was engaged in building sports talent in children and youth with disabilities too. I mean we all know what captures my heart😃. I kept my finger on that name!

Then someone said to me "keep an eye on him and make sure you get to know him." I made sure I had small talk with him but it was until a little later that I met him as I crossed the road on my way to Beitcure hospital where we had set up a parents support group. I excitedly greeted him as he introduced me to his fiance then. I said to him "please come to our respite home office, i need you to volunteer on a needs assessment we are putting together." He committed to come and yes he did come.

But the highlight of this story is when there was a medal won by a youth at the special Olympics. I was sitting across Jason and asked how he manages to fly for hours with youths with complex disabilities especially autism and still achieved the goal of their travel. He said "one at a time. I pacify and attend to each one at a time through out the trip". I asked imagining my son Kay on a flight for hours and touch down in one piece 😳😅.

Those words still come back to me when I reach my threshold as a mom raising an autistic teenager. I recline and remember "one at a time until we achieve the goal".

Today I celebrate Jason for all he does because of all he's been through. Over and above, you are an admirable human being. When I call you, you affirm who I am each time you pick up and say "yes E.D!"

You look great in that photo Sir🤟

Jason runs a sports academy for under 12s. You would do good in supporting his passion.

Yesterday we spent our time in Chazanga compound where we were very privileged to appreciate and share some of the food hampers to our boys and girls that are part of the team.
More than 20 families and volunteers benefited from the same donation. In witnessing the donation and hand over, some parents came through to receive on behalf of some of our players.
Chazanga ground famously known as Bwafwano ground is a home of Young Blues Sports Club/Little Tots Soccer School which has over 200 young people under the program and hosts more than 500 young people per week from different communities in Mandevu constituency.
We would like to thank the Little Tots Soccer School management and all well wishers who came on board to support this wonderful gesture.

After some months of training, we will be hosting an end of the year tournament. This is to make sure we give our players enough game time and finish off the year on a good note.
