The school's production unit is currently harvesting fresh maize that was planted on October 15, 2025. The field, measuring approximately 30m x 35m, utilized organic mature compost and hot chili spray to control pests. At Living Hope School, our students are gaining valuable insights into the viability of agriculture as a business opportunity, which can significantly contribute to household food security. By promoting organic farming initiatives, we can foster a healthier environment and support the well-being of our communities through the production of nutritious food.

Living Hope Foundation has launched an ambitious project to install a water system on its LIHOF land in Mumbwa district. This strategic move aims to provide water for both community and school use while fostering vegetable production diversity. Additionally, the land will be utilized as a demonstration platform for agroecological practices and the promotion of organic farming with local seeds. A key focus of the organization is to empower community-driven educational initiatives. Kawena Community School's infrastructure in Shibuyunji district is in dire need of funding support to create a safe and conducive learning environment for its students. Living Hope Foundation

Living hope foundation is a non Governmental organization. In this photo we installed a solar submissive pump on the borehole and the water is coming out properly. We need a 6 meter water tank stand and the wire fence in order to successfully implement the demos for indigenous seeds like maize ,finger millet and many more .
These plants are drought resistant and could help the Farmers greatly especially now that we have reduced rainfall pattern due to climate change challenges.
We have engaged with farmers in Mumbwa and Shibuyunji districts to begin planting local seeds by using organic mature that are locally available. The people are now aware that organic foods are free from chemicals and good for their health. Our seeds, our food, our rights.
