It is truly disheartening to learn that the opportunity to work on the Makishi Road drainage project was not given to the youth residing in Northmead, Luangwa, Chilulu Villa Elizabeth, and Thornpark. Instead, sub-contractors from outside Silwizya Ward were chosen for the project. This situation is indeed shameful as it highlights a lack of concern from both the Lusaka Central MP and the ward councilor towards the youth in the area. It is important for our elected representatives to prioritize the interests and welfare of the local youth, fostering their growth and development for a brighter future.
