🎄 Christmas Outreach | 27 December 2025 🎄

On the 27th of December 2025, GenHope Foundation shared a meaningful Christmas moment with the children and caregivers at Home of Merciful Beginnings Orphanage. It was a day of love, laughter, and hope — a reminder that community is strongest when we stand together.

We are deeply grateful to our partners, Scholars of Hope Foundation and World Changers Organization, for walking this journey with us. Your support made this outreach possible and brought smiles to many young faces. Thank you for believing in the power of collective action. Looking forward to more fruitful partnerships.
And to The Donation Drive, thank you for taking time to join us and help the children with the much needed items. Keep up with the same spirit. ❤️

During our interaction, the orphanage shared some pressing challenges they continue to face — food shortages, operating from a rented facility, and the constant strain of meeting rent and utility bills without a sustainable source of income. They expressed a strong need for support in acquiring their own land or permanent space, where all children can be accommodated safely and with dignity, free from the uncertainty of displacement.

As GenHope Foundation, our goals moving forward — starting this year — are centered on sustainable solutions. We are committed to scaling initiatives that address child hunger through urban agriculture, strengthening partnerships, and advocating for long-term support systems that move children’s homes from survival to stability.

Together, we can turn compassion into action and hope into lasting change. 💙✨

🚨 Protecting Our Children: A Call to Action 🚨

Sexual violence against children is a crisis we can no longer ignore. At GenHope Foundation, we are committed to being defenders and protectors of children’s rights. Our recent meeting at Ridgeway Campus highlighted the urgent need for action following disturbing cases of abuse, even in supposed safe spaces like orphanages.

✅ Advocacy for stricter laws and a s*x offender registry
✅ Empowering children with survival skills and SRH education

We must raise "uncomfortable" awareness, challenge stigma, and take proactive steps to ensure every child is safe. The fight continues, and we won’t stop until justice is served.
In addition to these crucial discussions, we also incorporated First Aid Training to equip our team with essential lifesaving skills. Led by Dr. Cheelo Sing'anga Tembo and assisted by Dorcas Nambeye, a medical student at the University of Zambia, the training focused on emergency response techniques that will be vital during our outreach programs, meetings, and community engagements. Being prepared for medical emergencies is just as important as our advocacy efforts, ensuring we can provide immediate support when needed.

Our children deserve to grow up safe, protected, and free from harm.

The rising cases of child defilement in Zambia are alarming, yet many go unreported, and perpetrators walk free. Silence is not an option. At GenHope Foundation, we are taking a stand. As we continue our menstrual health visits, we are integrating activism against child s*xual violence and exploitation—because protecting children is a fight we must all take part in.

We urge everyone to SPEAK OUT, EDUCATE, and TAKE ACTION. Together, we can create a safer Zambia for every child.
