Now comes the real purpose why this blog was established. To help teach the Ngoni Tradition and Culture to all Ngoni children in diaspora, including all those free folk who would love to learn Ngoni/Zulu tradition and Culture.
The sole purpose of this blog is the restoration of the lost Ngoni language in Zambia. Please note that the responsibility and task of the restoration of the Ngoni Language in Zambia was bestowed on Nkosinathi Jele and this blog helps to achieve this objective.
Thus- now Starts our Journey called- “Ungoni Siungaphele” (Ngoni Culture & Tradition Can Never End)
This is best suited for all ngoni children born in town away from home, as well as all others who would love to learn the Ngoni tradition and culture and it starts as follows:
Below are four short, rhythmic, easy-to-dance Ngoni/Zulu traditional songs, built around clapping beats (women ululating softly in background: “yi-yi-yi!”).They are simple, repetitive, and easy for children to memorize and dance to in a circle (ingoma style).
Theme: A lost orphaned child in town hears that his father Inkhosi uMphezeni is at eMtenguleni, goes there, is guided by Gogomadziamabi, and learns his tradition.
