🏆 What a day!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us today for KUBUKA Sports Day 2026! 💚

It was a wonderful day full of sport, teamwork, energy and community spirit. Thank you to all the players, coaches, families, clubs, partners and supporters who helped make the day so special.

Days like today remind us that sport is much more than competition — it brings people together, creates opportunities and strengthens our community.

🌍 Giving back to our community!

Once a month, our Sports Project goes beyond the playing field to take part in a community activity. 💪🏾

Our players and coaches work together to clean and maintain different areas of the neighbourhood, helping to create safer, cleaner spaces for everyone.

Because sport is not only about training and competition — it is also about responsibility, teamwork and caring for the community we are part of. 💚

🏐🎓 Congratulations to our now certified Volleyball Coach, Richard!

We are proud to celebrate our Richard, who has successfully completed his Volleyball Coaching Certificate and is now officially qualified as a volleyball coach.

His achievement is not only an important step in his own professional development, but also a great addition to our Sports programme, helping us provide better training and guidance to our young players.

✈️🌍 Safe House girls visit Livingstone International Airport.

Last week, as part of our Safe House educational tours, the girls visited Harry Mwanga Nkumbula International Airport in Livingstone for a guided behind-the-scenes experience.

They got a closer look at how an international airport operates, from baggage handling and emergency services to aircraft operations and passenger processes.

A big thank you to ZACL for welcoming our girls and providing such an engaging and educational visit. Experiences like these inspire new ambitions and show our girls the wide range of opportunities that await them.

🤝🏡 We grow stronger by learning from one another.

During July, the Kubuka Zambia Management Team visited the facilities of Love's Door, a long-standing partner organisation that has worked alongside us for many years through our Safe House for Girls project.

The visit was an opportunity to exchange experiences, share good practices, and learn from each other's approaches to supporting vulnerable children and young people. We believe that collaboration and continuous learning are essential to strengthening the impact of our work.

⚽💪 The off-season is where next season begins.

While our Senior and Girsl Football Teams are between league seasons, the work doesn't stop. Every training session is an opportunity to improve, grow stronger, and prepare for the challenges ahead.

As we look forward to the new season starting in September, our players remain committed to developing their skills, building teamwork, and representing Kubuka Zambia with pride.

The countdown to kick-off has already begun. 💙

📚✨ Every lesson is a step towards a brighter future.

At our Safe House for Girls, education goes beyond school hours. Through regular remedial classes, the girls receive additional academic support to strengthen their understanding, build confidence, and keep progressing in their studies.

By providing a safe environment where they can learn, ask questions, and grow, we are helping them unlock their full potential—one lesson at a time.

🧠❤️ Knowledge is one of the strongest forms of protection.

Yesterday afternoon, Coach Hellen led an HIV/AIDS awareness session with our adolescent boys and girls, creating a safe space to learn, ask questions, and have open conversations about prevention, health, and informed decision-making.

At Kubuka Zambia, we believe that sport is also an opportunity to educate, empower, and equip young people with the knowledge they need to make healthy choices for their future.
