Youth SDG Summit

Youth SDG Summit The National Youth SDG Summit is a youth-led initiative dedicated to advancing the Sustainable Development Goals by uniting young people for a common cause.

We have successfully organized three youth-led summits, each surpassing the last in impact and reach. Here are the key highlights from our past events:

First Summit:
Delegates: 200
Speakers: USA, Nigeria, Kenya, UK, Egypt, India, Sweden, Hong Kong, and Malawi. Notable Achievement: One delegate was inspired to launch the Lead Me Back Foundation, an NGO that has significantly accelerated quality ed

ucation for vulnerable communities in Zambia. Second Summit:
Format: Hybrid event
Delegates: Over 600
Key Achievement: Partnered with students from the Zambia University College of Technology to create an application that educates youths on climate change. Third Summit (2023):
Delegates: 800
Key Achievements:
Expanded our reach and impact. Became the first university-led initiative to host a side event at the Africa Youth SDG Summit, which was voted the most informative side event. This year, we aim to raise the bar even higher. If you want to be part of this transformative experience and stay updated on our latest developments, follow our page. Join us in making a difference.

Today we celebrate the courage, resilience, and unity that shaped the African continent. Africa Freedom Day is more than a commemoration of liberation, it is a reminder that the future of Africa will be built by bold ideas, collective action, and empowered young people.

At the Youth SDG Summit, we believe the next generation carries the responsibility and opportunity to drive sustainable change across our communities, our nations, and our continent. From climate action to health, innovation, and civic leadership, African youth are not waiting for the future, they are creating it.

As we honor the heroes of our past, may we also rise as the architects of a more inclusive, sustainable, and prosperous Africa.

Happy Labour Day!

To everyone contributing in big and small ways building, teaching, protecting, healing, creating, and leading this day is for you.

At Youth SDG Summit (YSS), we recognize that your work is more than effort it is impact. It is the foundation of sustainable development and the driving force behind SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth.

As young people, we carry the responsibility to shape a future where every individual has access to meaningful opportunities, fair conditions, and dignified work.

Today, we don’t just celebrate labour

Today, we celebrate the value of health, the foundation of strong communities and sustainable development.

World Health Day reminds us that good health is not just about treatment, but about prevention, equity, and ensuring that everyone, everywhere has the opportunity to live a healthy life.

At the Youth SDG Summit, we believe that protecting health today means securing a better tomorrow for all.

Good Friday calls us to reflect on the depth of Christ’s love. A sacrifice that showed us the true meaning of service and compassion. ✝️

His example reminds us that faith is not only something we believe, but something we live through how we support others and uplift our communities.

Through the Youth SDG Summit, we continue to encourage young people to take action, lead with purpose, and work toward building a more inclusive and hopeful future for all.

Today, let us reflect on Christ’s sacrifice and commit ourselves to doing better for others. 🌍

Most people have heard of the Sustainable Development Goals.

But here’s the truth:
Less than 1% of the global population can name all 17 SDGs.
Yet these goals shape the future of our world's education, health, climate, and equality.

The question is not whether the SDGs matter.
It’s whether we understand them enough to act.

How many SDGs can you name without checking?

What if access to clean water was not guaranteed tomorrow?

For many communities across Zambia, that’s already a reality.

From long distances to fetch water to inconsistent supply and now climate change is bringing droughts and unpredictable rainfall

Water insecurity is growing.

This World Water Day, we are reminded:
*Water is not just a resource it’s dignity, health, and opportunity.
At Youth SDG Summit, our Planet focus is clear:
-Climate action must be local.
-Protecting water starts with us.

If you had the power to change the world today just by solving ONE Sustainable Development Goal…

Which would you choose?

• Quality Education — unlocking futures
• Clean Water — saving lives
• Climate Action — protecting our planet
• Economic Growth — creating opportunity

We’d love to hear your thoughts and why it matters to you. 👇
