The Chemical Society of Zambia (CSZ) extends its heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Simon Sylvestre, Organic Chemistry Lecturer at Mukuba University and a valued member of CSZ, for securing 1st Prize (Cash Award) for Oral Presentation at the First Zambia Symposium on Research Rigor, Reproducibility and Translational Science, organised by the Copperbelt University School of Medicine, Ndola.

This outstanding achievement is a testament to Dr. Sylvestre's commitment to scientific research, excellence, and the advancement of knowledge.

2026 CSZ CONFERENCE
The Chemical Society of Zambia (CSZ) invites you to be part of the 2026 CSZ Conference, an important platform for knowledge exchange, professional engagement and meaningful dialogue on the role of chemistry in the mining industry.
This year’s conference will explore the theme:
“Impact of Sampling, Analysis and Mass Measurements on Metal Accounting in the Mining Industry.”

The conference will bring together students, academics, researchers, industry professionals and other stakeholders to explore current practices, share knowledge and discuss the importance of reliable scientific measurements in supporting efficiency, accountability and informed decision-making within the mining sector.

The programme will feature contributions from distinguished professionals, including Kuldeep Singh Solanki, Bonginkosi Nkosi and Dr. Lameck Banda, alongside other industry experts and participants
